Does 0.50mm behave it's self better than the 0.45mm - I find the 0.45 is a pain with loop knots ?

0.50 is worse. I prefer the 0.45 and use a perfection loop knot. Sits nice and straight. Figure of 8 always kicks out to one side on all stiff materials.
