I have four of them and have had them a few years now - duplon version. I think they are great rods and a joy to use. I can't praise them enough. And yes they have 40mm rings.

Edit: Just had a look through my old emails. I bought the rods in 2021, and so far no problems.

I'm resurrecting this post from the dim and distant past!
Any longer term reviews on these rods?
Also im presuming that they have 40mm ringing amd not 50mm?

Thank you both for your replies.
I am considering Ultegra 5500 or Daiwa Emblems as wish to use fluorocarbon or a copolymer in 15lb so require a decent diameter spool size.

I was using okuma INC 6000 reels on the smaller waters with lower diameter line. But as I wanted to go onto heavy x line I’ve swopped for my emblem 45s.

Both suit the rods fine.

My go to rod this year, absolute joy to use, smoth crisp casting action, light weight, they bend but still allow me to stop fish from reaching snags. Had fish to low 30's so far on them, could be my favourite rod ever the way I'm enjoying them

I use them currently on a small lake 5 acre and had fish to upper 20s on them but it’s mainly open water. But the fish are on steroids and fight with everything. There a stunning blank to play fish on

Thank you for the prompt reply.
I am considering getting a pair for a small water with fish around 30lb that need steering away from rushes and weed beds once hooked and these rods look pleasing on the eye however, I don't know anyone that has them.
