Swim 1 blanked.
Swim 2 had one fish, 20lb+
Swim 4 had a 65, 55 and a couple of others.
Swm 5 had 2 40's plus a couple of others.
Swim 9 had 6 between 20-30lbs.
Swim 10 blanked. A lot of weed here. Lost 2, sliced off by mussels maybe from the right hand corner.
Swim 11 had a few between 20-30lbs.
Swim 12 had 1 40 and a few 20's.

Anything over 30lb caught in daylight hours has to be photgraphed by the bailiff.

Food was good.

All of us apart from swims 4 and 5 left by 7 a.m. on the saturday.

So get in pegs 4 and 5 for the bigger fish.

Tom the bailiff will help you with spots, I came last out of the draw and got one of my fancied pegs. The draw part when he says it really doesn't matter where you end up is accurate, I was sceptical at first but we had fish from all corners of the lake.

Thanks mate, ill have a look later. Was it easy to find spots in the weedier parts? Seen quite a few vids and they seem to suggest that baits tipped with yellow do well? Was going to use boilie, pellet and maize.

We went start of September and had a great week. We managed a fair few fish between us and everyone caught, my mate managed to get a bit on film.

Fished it a few times years back.Very weedy but I didn’t mind that having the boat.
Quite noisy road traffic as it’s alongside a busy road but apart from that it’s up and down all over with clear spots easy to reach, easy fishing

Cheers mate. We are not going until May next year so hoping not too hot and they are not ready to spawn. Fished in the area a lot in the last 20 years and never known them to spawn in May but guess there is always a first time!!!

No worries mate. Like I say, the fishing was slow for us due to the fish being on the cusp of spawning, so a trip to the shops came as a welcome break! All the best for the trip.

Ok, thanks mate. Good to know. Will probably stop off at an Intermarche on the way and grab a few bits anyway.
