Ivan, do you have the new AGE carp sounders, if so id like to hear your pro's and con's. On paper they look great, in the films they have put out, they look great but nothing beats real world use.

Just changed my txi-d’s for some r4’s. I’ve been a delkim fanboy since 1997 and had both previous versions which were both faultless. Have the new txi-d’s and just never liked them from the word go. Watching the videos and the various videos about what buttons are needed to pressed to change this and that just made them overly complicated. Plus using a pod no matter what setting i put them on, if i get a run at night all 3 bloody led’s are lit up. Hoping having roller wheel will solve this.

Hi, its not that Atts are not waterproof, they are.
Atts have a slightly rubbery feel.
If put away into covers wet, the finish on them can go all motley (can be bad), mainly the backs.
Still work as normal thou, just don't look very good.
I enquired & they sent me some new backs.
I'm more bothered about Function, but can see why others won't like how they look, mottled etc.

I'm sorry if I offended, it certainly wasn't my intention...what I meant was if you like/are used to the simplicity of an atts/neville type of alarm then I can see the mither of setting up a delkim to not be appealing for the end result to be the same,a bite/run.
I've had atts, loved them, had steve neville and loved them and I will buy another set, possibly the delrin version after reading on here about them, at the moment I have the delkim txi-d and they're by far the most sensitive alarms I've used, too much of an overkill at times, quite possibly but they're spot on and I wrtainly don't get false indications unless the weather changes drastically during a session....again please accept my apologies if I offended you,it certainly wasn't my intention.

Folk sell tackle all the time for no reason that is the market there are plenty of threads on here about someone fancied a change from product y to product z
Back in the day I had optonics they were crap, daiwa sensitrons they were even worse, countless fox alarms all challenging, then delks for 20 years some Nash alarms as a backup set didn’t really ever use them so can’t comment and now the new delks.

I think there is still a lot to be said regarding user error, we are not perfect and as anglers some of us not very patient perhaps it’s a generation thing..

I notice on those ATTs you’ve bought there is an advisory about ensuring they are put away 100% dry (as although in the manual it says they are waterproof their is no IP rating) and after the 1 year warranty you are on your own.

I’ll stick with my over complicated delks with their 3 year guarantee & excellent customer service whilst waiting for one of these false bleeps to occur.

Thanks for the personal digs, much appreciated.

I got the txi D's after I sold off nearly 10 year old set on fox ntxr's and thought that delkim would be great and they have fab customer support.
Ohhh how I was wrong.... Poor highly defensive support from delkim directly... I wonder why their so defensive when people ask for support... ....mmmm?

All I can say is that the subtle marketing and feverish fanboy backup for delkim alarms is great. Nuff said methinks and considering their the newest alarms from the top 2 manufacturers and so many are being sold off I'm sure you realise why.

My backup alarms ATM is a set of fox rx+ alarms that are amazing but currently I'm preferring the ATT's as a change, I swap from one set to the other as I fancy.

TXi D's totally faultless for me, never a problem, complicated ?
If you’ve managed to master a smartphone then I don’t really get that comment
I’m thinking user error. Perhaps you don’t going fishing enough ?
Lots on the secondhand market ? Same for most of their competitors
And as we all know with delks fantastic customer service should you need it.

I think if your the type of guy to use atts then txi-d wouldn't be for you. you must have had them set up wrong for the fishing situation/conditions. Once the beep speed is set to your liking its literally one dial, the response. what I would say is using the the delkim indicators and line clips compliment the set up perfectly. no lateral movement is essential..I have the response up as high as I can get away with in the weather conditions...very rarely get false bleeps

I had a set of TXi D's and they were the worst alarms I've ever owned. I went direct and got advice from delkim to stop the constant false alarms caused by wind and rain drops and it didn't work, totally lost confidence in them after a fish moved a rig about 30 m with no indication. Massively over complicated controls and the receiver is always flashing even when you don't have a bite...

Sold them and upgraded to ATT crystal alarms that I still use today.

There's a reason why there's so many TXI D's on the s/h market.....

I've got 2x sets of TXIDs and a set of EVds - all have been bullet proof to date; and thats coming for a previous Fox RX Digital user of 20yrs+

Wouldn't entertain Gash and tbf I've never tried them but then again never would . . .irrespective of what anyone who has them says! For a start they look gash!

I paid 220€ for set 3+1(sale price) but their new alarm range (Age One) is usually under 400€.
Like I said before, 8 years on the bank in all weether conditions- +40C, storm rain, foggy weather, snowing and freezing temperatures below 0C...never felt sorry for buying them instead Fox,Delkim or Nash bite alarm

Cheers. Do they come with little grommets to blank the hole when they are removed? I dont think i could ever bring myself to buy any item of nash tackle mind no matter how good they seem to be.

Carp sounder are very good alarms , I would say the best , they are not cheap , but they are designed and made in Germany.
