Only if you do not use it in over a year you will get a small administration fee (I used mine last October and will be going next Friday night which I hope will be within the 12 month period).

A friend lent me hers.
It was great as I was "solo'
I just paid her what it cost etc on my return.

Going solo was a great adventure and the tag" bip and go " made it so easy

What moanybill said, get an emovis tag, best thing I ever did, always a pleasure going through the 30kph lane while others are queuing, its a no brainer if you go regularly or are on your own and doesn't cost any extra.

You can pay in every toll booth with MasterCard...
Makes life easier, no cash required.

But a tag so easy, drive through, no hustle with cards etc.

I was doing at least 3 trips a year and often a heck of a lot more including day trips as my Other half at the time was French and we used to often visit her sister at weekends
so did heck of a lot of trips and the Tag was well worth it

as there are seldom queues in the Tag lanes so on the really long 8 hour plus drives where you go thru loads and loads of toll booths it can cut a big chunk of time off your journey

but to be fair on just one trip a year its no biggy to have the right money ready and just nip round

I'm not sure but considerations are

They may only charge hgv prices which are higher than cars

I suspect the actual machine part is also higher off the ground and too high for reaching from a car window

Travelling solo the toll booths are a pain.
I noticed the "HGV" Toll lane have ticket machines both sides

Is there any reason not to use one of the HGV lane to collect /pay the toll.
(would they charge more)
I'm getting a tag but it might not arrive before I go in 5 days?

Cheers Mike
