In reply to Post #24 Well its less like tow rope for starters, has a good colour to it and it casts very well, I’ve had it up to 100 yards so far, seem to casts just as well when I don’t bother wetting it, usually wet it for first cast of the trip but after that don’t bother.

In reply to Post #25 Avid stuff doesn’t fade fast. Think I’ve had mine on around 3yrs now and it’s faded but only slightly.

Does the Avid / Ridgemonkey stuff fade? The SBX doesn’t seem to.

In reply to Post #22 What do you prefer about it chuffy?

Iv been using the .35 ridgemonkey braid . It’s very strong and sinks really well iv found . Again not great for casting but good for short medium range in weedy conditions

In reply to Post #19 How far you casting with the 40lb with which rods?

In reply to Post #17 I love mine but wonder if the 25lb would cast a lot further, the diameter isn't very different but if I could cast maybe 27 wraps I would change over..

In reply to Post #17 40lb if you aren’t planning to cast long distance
