i have been using these avid bag stems in my pva bags along with a fox inline square lead and had no issue at all with them. only issue is you cant drop the lead with the stems but the leads i use have the line for fishing them drop off

https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/avid-carp-bag-stems

thats the link for them on angling direct if you want to have a look.

Been doing a bit myself lately and losing the lead seems very important to me. I've been using the avid drop off kit and it seems to work well.

Or you could make your own. Personally I wasn't happy with any of the commercially available in line leads so I now make these with a lead free 45lb leader, QC swivel and a basic tail rubber. Not drop off though...

I use fox drop off system with long Chuck leads drop off leads which are a copy of the fox leads but a lot cheaper, you can get in touch with them via FB. As per fox, slightly enlarge front and back holes to ensure the leads drop off (if you want them to). To enlarge the holes I use an old pair of esp braid blades.

Any inline lead will do I've used this drop off system for years whilst stalking, I think the leads with a groove are unnecessary and more so if they cost more than standard inlines!

As said any tailrubbers will do (Ive used the bank tackle ones before), I loop the hook link onto a ring swivel with the leader attached to the other end of the swivel so it drops off.

Works perfectly every time. Also if the swivels don't fit perfectly inside the stems you can tension the leader with the tail rubber or put a small amount of shrink tube around the swivel to thicken it up a bit .

When you buy a lot of inlines they come with an insert and a tail rubber
If not like has been said before korda ones or use tail rubbers for lead clips - they are pretty much the same thing.
All you need is something to hold the leader to the lead insert

What tail rubbers do you use with them mate? I’ve been looking at the fox range but can’t see one that’s specific to the inline leads?

You can use pretty much any online and still fish it drop off.

Just pinch the swivel at the end that goes in the lead and tie the hooklink and main line to the other end (or use a ring swivel and tie to the ring)

Then leader threaded through a tail rubber and a sleeve through the lead with leader outside

I'm also using the Fox camtex flat pears, but often don't need to drop the leads.

You should love solid PVA fishing, it's my go to on most lakes now and does well if presented right.

I had to practice tying up the bags, trial and error with how much to fill them with etc

You can use any inline leads as drop off, don’t worry about the groves if using lead free leaders.

Thanks for replies, I won’t always need to drop the lead but in some situations I will. Gemini don’t do drop off systems do they?
