Great stuff this Aliexpress one is. I also converted mine to a 500W 36v version. I went for this option so I can use my 18v powertool batteries to power up the motor. It is very powerful. I just bought a second wheel so I'll make it to a 4 wheeled barrow

Went to fish Gailey reservoir and the pegs have quite steep sides had no problem with a fully loaded barrow getting out of the swim literally had the barrow wheel at the start of the slope at the back of the peg and the barrow was great.

I was told the wheel was running in reverse so a swapped it round, reset the run direction and wow it’s very good, wheel spins on concrete as I hold it still, far greater torque.

Hello,

I’ve been considering doing the same with the exact same barrow… have you by chance written a full how to? I’d absolutely love to see it.

Life always takes precedence. It must of been 18 months even a couple of years when I first mentioned converting my Avid Transit X.

Good or bad barrow I like it had a good reception on the Cemex Forum (RIP).

Anyway I had joined a great FB site and grabbed an account with Ali Express and purchased various parts to convert my barrow based on the Nash Power Barrow.

Essentially the wheel hub motors comes in a 250W or 350W guise (if mem serves). I purchased the 350W version and a 500w controller. Had a pair of folks made along with 24v throttle 2x 15ah batts and a ebike controller and a box various plugs and sockets n cables so I can dismantle it in order to throw it into the boot.

I’ve gotta say it’s superb half a mile to and fro and it’s still showing max power. It managed a rather nasty bump with pride, one that took me out first attempt when non powered
