Unfortunately some people will always be unlucky and get issues at some point even if they are rare. I think fox are the only alarms that ive never had any issues with and ive had a few sets now over 30 years of angling.

Poxy Fox alarms - one of mine had given up and because I bought them second hand assume Dal is only place to go.

Was a delkim user for years and never any trouble but fox are jank and given they always say take it to retailer means you can’t ever buy them as a gift or buy second hand - absolutely shocking - this is fresh on the back of a £180 power pack giving up.

Sorry just realised clover mentioned the warranty. I bought some second hand. Sent to dal because sensitivity was off on one, new wheel fitted. 2nd had an issue where only beeped 1 or twice when alarm was turned off I.e the theft function. Also fixed by Dal. The alarms do have their issues but ok right now since dal inspected them.

Lower in this thread i reported 2 of a 3 rod set of fox rx pluses died after 6 months. These were replaced with new by the retailer. On Sunday whilst fishing the third original died for no apparent reason. Dry session etc.
New batteries were fitted a week earlier in all alarms and receiver and all good.
The receiver gave a few alarm bleeps after 10 hours of use. The alarm was dead, tried new batteries. Nothing. Fortunately it is still just within the 2 year warranty by 5 months, so thats returned to the shop under warranty and i am currently borrowing a mates spare alarm.
Disappointing to have all 3 fail within 2 years.

Batteries weep ? I think you mean batteries leaking which happens with alkaline batteries if they are left in situ but not powered on, so any alarm which uses alkalines is at risk of having this happen.

As others have said just take them back where you bought them from.

I guess you've taken the batteries out and tried them in one of the other alarms etc ?

Don't send it off, contact the retailer and ask for a replacement.
I had a problem with 2 of mine, 6 months old, same thing, they just wouldn't switch on, contacted Parkfield angling and they immediately sent me 2 new ones.

Take it to the shop you bought it from, they should replace it straight away if not give them the full set and demand a full cash refund.

Could be battery terminal problem speaking to a mate who was looking at getting some RX+ and he spoke to Dale Henwood at Dalectronics about them who said he had 3 draws full of wrecked RX+ Said something makes the batteries weep and it knackers the electrics inside the alarm
