Came within a couple of days, is there a lifespan on the canisters or a best before, could take me a while to go through.

Just a heads up. I've just ordered 12 cans of Go System gas from future fishing for £45 (£3.75 per can) Free delivery if you spend £50+ so I added some propolis.

I do the same as in the video but I think he does not do it long enough I dont need to do it so many times
as I do it longer to get more gas out so allowing more liquid in

Do you vent off the excess air pressure using the main valve (as in the video) or using the pressure relief valve (the smaller recessed one).
You can see the small initial burst of white mist that is the gas (propane) that is vapour above the air in the tank. Can you not keep bleeding more air out rather than the stop/start method being shown?

Here is a video of a guy refilling a coleman type canister (lindal type valve) from a bbq propane tank.

One is propane and one is a mixture of propane and butane. Essentially what the call patio gas I think. I chant remember which way round it is but propane is better in colder conditions compared to butane……or like I said….the other way around. A mixture of the two is obviously a go between. Either of them are fine for 90% of British conditions

Just to clarify the difference between normal coleman C500 gas cannister, and the coleman 1lb bottles on the left.

Just to clarify Gerry, if I’ve got half a dozen near empty canisters is it these I put in the freezer, ready to fill into a single canister ?

I have refilled my Coleman 1lb propane bottles successfully for a fair few years
the bottles you want to refill it is best if you put it into the freezer the night before

as been said I started off by weighing a brand new one as its possible to overfill one !!!
the gas is liquid and to an extent gravity fills it so my large propane cylinder is upside down and the one to be filled is underneath
