If you want to see some mega carp that you won’t see very often, check out our social media this week. I once said about a bait that seems to turn over one specific lake year after year.
Well it did last year once again!

I managed to get out last night for 12 hours of angling and I have to say it was actually quite enjoyable!
In typical summer fashion the carp fed in the darkness and up to about 9 am this morning. A scattering of 20mm herb and matching Wafters or deep c Wafters made sure I didn’t get much sleep! Biggest fish was a known common of upper 20s (forgot my scales)
If you go out angling this week then I’d say bait lightly and make the most of the darkness! Roll on next weekend when it’s a little bit cooler
