Personally I think it’s best used sooner rather than later, within a day or 2 of being cooked.

How long would a mix of this last for? Or in other terms, when would you prepare and make up a mix before a session? Have it ready for the day before or have it ready a week before?

I always follow the prep guide in the stickies.

Soak for 24 hrs, boil for 10 mins.

Always get a great sticky consistency and the fish love it.

Mix some Vitalin in once you've prepped it and you're laughing.

(Relatively) cheap mix that will catch fish anywhere.

Out of interest has anyone had any luck with the arma mesh method for a hookbait? If so what rig do you use? I caught my PB at the time doing this but I used to find the hookbait tangled fairly often on retrieval

I agree. Proper prep beats the coolbox method by a mile imo.

While just soaking in boiling water works, boiling it makes it even more attractive😉

To keep the water temp up I put it in a bucket/cool box with just enough boiling water to cover it, check back in a couple of hours and top up from the kettle again so the seeds are just covered, doing it that way it's always sat in hot water for the first day at least, having said that don't overthink it, it's pigeon/fish food

Yes, make sure you dont put too much in as it expands, have 2 inches of water over the seed.

Does it have to be a cool box? Can it be done in just a bucket?

So this is a similar preparation method to tiger nuts. Soak then boil.

Is it boil for 30 mins?

Still haven’t figured out how I’m going to get around my missus from going nuts when she sees me cooking up hemp, tiger nuts, maize, bloody pigeon conditioner now, especially in our new house we’ve just moved into
