Maybe half a dozen non resident swims on Rudd from memory, they fill up quickly so you need to be sharp

Will probably call the onsite tackle shop a few days before, just after a few carp with my son, might try and squeeze on rudd lake just to get some runs, is there a few swims separate from the holiday homes?

Fished cedar way a couple of years ago, the weed was horrendous, I reckon I could have walked across the bay and I’m 18 stone. Saw one tench about a pound all weekend.

Not a lot of info online, island lake sounds very weedy with some saying it was unfishable, how did you get on and what lakes did you fish in the end?

Bain valley is ok, beaufighter and sterling have the bigger fish but both very weedy at the moment. Plenty of clear spots if you take the time to find them.

Woodlands water at Ancaster is fishing well at the min and has a bigger stock of twenties.

My old man fished Rudd lake and had a few to mid doubles. Island Lake I imagine would be very weedy this time of year but holds the better fish.

I was lucky enough to have a lodge on the Duck Lake, which I believe is only fishable by those who have lodges beside it. If you can fish it, it's a good runs water. I had a big group of carp infront of me on a visible plateau, and had around 40 odd fish to mid doubles.

The highlight of the week was seeing the spitfires and lancaster bombers flying around at the weekend. The Typhoons are effing loud and fly into the evening, so don't expect any early nights!

Hi Guys im off to Tattershall lakes at the end of the month and looking for decent venues.

Ive seen a few but just wondered if anybody had experience at any of these?

Lakes on the site are Rudd Lake which seems to be on residents priority.
The other is Island Lake if anybody can advise on this lake that would be great?

Other fisheries near by are Bain Valley Fishery and Moon Lake Fishery if anybody has used these?

Any other gems?

Im after Carp mainly.

Many thanks
