In reply to Post #514 Occasionally I miss the blue orchid, the cheese room was always the last resort when you wanted to find a bird to avoid getting a cab home, proper cattlemarket
Used to have some half decent bands in the walkabout too

In reply to Post #513 He was born in Mitcham but it’s US rap really, more about the influence he had in actually saying something rather than just rapping than a particular track. Paved the way for people like Kano
Always an interesting night in Croydon

Quite liked this guy though
Speak about racial imbalance I remember meeting a couple of mates in heroes in Croydon, I was the only white bloke in there till another mate turned up....
... With a skin head and 3/4 length burberry jacket good night in the end

In reply to Post #509 Been to Blackpool a couple of times, not a fan, makes Croydon feel classy
Enjoyed that, should have found it on Spotify so I could post on here without killing the music
Watching my neighbour trying to park
gravel pit
This thread needs more of this guy

In reply to Post #507 a few mates and I used to do an occasional trip to the Palace from home in Barrow. One of the lads had a van with 4 bunks in the back so we could kip in that after going out (unless you found a lovely lady with room at hers...) and then we'd get a full brekkie and drive back the next day.
I remember a LOT of big hair (not just mine) and paying over the odds for drinks but we always had a good night. The music was well dodgy mind...

In reply to Post #504 Same here mate
Spent a bit of time training, LOUD music
Sometimes I like a bit of easy listening. Listen to all sorts as I mentioned earlier
First time I heard this was on the hit man and her. Club classic Nomad
Went to the palace in Blackpool a few times, used to hold a few thousand that, wall to wall fanny

In reply to Post #503 I use music to level myself out, angry rap or rock calms me down when I'm angry, stuff like editors or radio head can pick me up off a downer, a bit of trance, house, garage, d&b can keep me calm when I'm acting like an excited schoolboy
I'll rarely have music when I'm fishing, I will have a radio but tend to stick to talks port or any live sporting events
The dawn chorus is all the music I need when fishing, give me that, a few clouds and a sunrise and I'm in heaven

In reply to Post #502 A Classic
Hit man and her
I bet old Clive was banging em
Like my dance music mate, in the right circumstances, gym, cllub, pub. Never get it with the fishing though, I go to relax away from all this ****. Last thing I would want to hear
There’s a few Carl Cox sets on the tube from Ibiza
I now like guetta too

In reply to Post #499 I was never really into it bar the odd track, insomnia being one, but I went to beefa in 03 I think, got really into it while I was there but it never sounded the same when I got back. Also had nandos for the first time(bar m in San Antonio) but that was even better when I got back
I went a second time a couple of years later but that was all about ibiza rocks, saw some great bands
