In reply to Post #462 Another positive for today my mother who’s shieldingsaid on Friday she needed her hair cut, booked up and was picked up today by her hairdresser and taken to shop to get it sorted. That was done and the hairdressers car wouldn’t start to take her home, so she popped to supermarket next door and then jumped on the hopper bus home. Her quote which my father relaid was I’ve wasted to much time on this bug if it gets me it gets me the Germans didn’t so bums to it 😀

Spoke to my parents yesterday, and remembering that weeks ago my father (92) was taken twice into hospital for heart failure and was at deaths door, my mother lets slip that yesterday he was fixing the guttering on his shed and patching a wood panel on it. He thought it looked a bit shabby so painted two sides of shed and is going to do the other 2 panels today.
Apparently he is eyeing up some fence panels to paint as well.
I said I was coming down at weekend to repair shed, he said it couldn't wait and while its great to have the offer he's sure I have better things to do with my time.

This made me chuckle
Trump supporters have taken to calling themselves 'MAGA's' (from his Make America Great Again slogan).
The word maga in Nigerian means something different....
From Quora...
A 'maga' means a pawn in a scheme. For example the victim of fraud is a maga. The term was first used by Nigerian internet fraudsters but it has found its way to the Nigerian dictionary and means anybody that is being taken advantage of.
Have a good day all

My local opened today and was busy this afternoon which is good news for the excellent landlady and her husband.
It was quiet tonight which is good news for the local residents
