How are we all?
All good I hope and no one has this disgusting virus. I've been in Brazil for the past three weeks. I came home on Thursday to armageddon in the UK. I travelled via Paris/GDG... I've never seen anything like it. A completely empty airport, all duty free shops and stores in the airport shut. No one about at all (which I was very pleased about to be fair). My flight from Brazil to Paris had just twelve passengers on board. My flight from Paris to London had just five passengers. Heathrow was completely empty. Far less passengers than you would normally expect at our busiest airport.
I was sorely tempted to ride this out in Brazil, which is one of the last countries to be effected by the virus. But even Brazil as I left had a massive spike in cases, and panic was starting to set in there too. I was advised by the British embassy to try and get back if I could, which swayed my thinking in the end. It was very hard to know what to do in reality, stay with loved ones in Brazil, or get back to loved ones in the UK. My thinking was that we had enough stock to keep things running in the UK for around a month. But I was advised by someone from the embassy, that a world wide travel ban was likely coming, and would last from three months, to a year. I had to get back in reality under those circumstances.
As I'm sure all of you who have been ordering well know, all orders have been going out for the past few months in around a week currently. Ever since I stream lined the products that we sell last year, order times have been in a much greater place. We are still ticking over with orders currently, but after an incredibly busy start to the year... Things have slowed down considerably orders wise over the past week understandably with all this chaos going on.
My son is a paramedic in Berkshire, so I've been hearing first hand from him how badly this virus has been hitting our country over the past two weeks. (None of which reach the official figures). It's been scary hearing the cases he is attending daily going up and up every single day. His mother, my ex wife was diagnosed with the virus last week, and has spent ten days in isolation in hospital since first diagnosed. She is 46, with no previous medical conditions... But was hit very hard by this. For five days she was on a ventilator, unable to breath unaided. Luckily she has improved massively over the past few days, and they are talking about letting her go home within the next few days. While I have been in Brazil, I've seen so much stuff on social media, talking as though this is all some conspiracy, when nothing could actually be further from the truth. My son has been attending so many cases on a daily basis, all with the same symptoms and a great difficulty breathing.
I had to visit the supermarket yesterday, I went at 7am when they first opened. I've never seen anything like it, absolute carnage at 7am. Very little stuff on the shelves, and all of that had gone by 7.15am. I managed to get some food, and very luckily I had brought back 15 toilet rolls in my suitcase from Brazil because there was nothing like that at all on the shelves. No sugar, no pasta, no tea bags, most of the food I managed to get were the last or close to it items on the shelf. What really surprised me, was no one in the supermarket (100's it was packed) apart from me and a few others were wearing face masks.
All of our current orders from the past week will be going out on Monday. Hopefully this will all pass soon. I'm meant to be getting married in June, already that is looking very unlikely to happen in this current situation. Stay safe all of you, and keep your loved ones safe too.

In reply to Post #342 You're very welcome Ian. Your current order went yesterday afternoon, and should be there today for you.
The Spring rush has started very early this year, we are incredibly busy at the moment for early Feb. All current orders apart from seven, containing white S2 13mm cc or GPB1 went out yesterday. All of these will be going on Monday morning.

In reply to Post #339 The same price as the GPB1 mate.
We had an incredible time thanks. 32 degrees most days, the only bummer was I got so burnt on my head/shoulders on the second day... My eyes swelled up and nearly closed, it looked like I'd been ten rounds with Tyson. . I was like this for five days... From then on the hat and shirt had to stay on permanently.
It's such a beautiful country... One day I will sod off and live there. It will have to be Marlin fishing instead of carp.

We currently have a shed load of GLM-S2 & GLM-GPB1 crushed corks on their final cures. These will be sold as special orders from next week when they are ready. Both are fishmeal variants of the S2 and GPB1 CC, with pre digested and GLM added. We have them in 13 & 16mm crushed cork pop ups, and 13 & 16mm balanced bottom baits.
