They will dry fine Barry, just keep them somewhere away from kitchen/bathroom steam/moisture, so they fully dry out. They will look dry mate, but then when you put them into a tub and do up the lid... The coating will become soft and gooey again after a couple of days if they are not dried out properly. They really need thoroughly drying out for a long period. If not using a radiator I'd leave them out drying for 7-10 days at least in that cupboard. When I used to make them for myself on the radiator... I would leave them for at least 48 hours with the radiator on all day long both days.

I've been sent loads of photos over the past couple of days from anglers who have made some up like you. A Stoneacres angler sent me a bunch of photos of his, they looked the ********. He had added flavours to the gelatine as well, which is something I never tried myself.

You're very welcome Barry.

I’ve just made a batch of these for the first time, thanks for sharing this

I’m not in a position to be leaving plates of hookbaits on radiators unfortunately, however half an hour after the cooling stage they seem fine, plenty of powder seems to be welded to the baits, I guess if they are left to dry further in a dark cupboard they should be fine?

Marks hookbaits are second to none. I've had the same problem with the odd corkball /pop up that didn't perform.
I generally pop some foam under the hookbait to balance it how I want it.
I'm a big fan of two pink 13mm s2's on a ronnie.

All sorted! Tested 3 other pop-ups in the tub and they all seemed perfectly buoyant, very odd.

Just taken delivery of some 13mm S2 CC's and was just wondering how buoyant most people found them? Just tried them out on a Size 6 Krank on a ronnie with a micro hook ring swivel, no putty and they couldn't hold the hook up at all. Just wondering if I've got a dodgy batch because that doesn't seem buoyant enough to me?

Cheers

Mark,
Thanks for sharing the ‘Dry Tigers’ guidance. I have been quietly been using Coked Tigers to sometimes devastating effect over here for a while. Like the upgrade potential!!
Hope you and yours are well, take care these next few weeks, mate.
