This was a great fight. What Paccy did to Dela Hoya was unreal for me especially with DH reach advantage. Styles make fights. Watch his movement, stepping in, slipping, timing and speed, immense
Who wants a ****ing fight
Paccy vs D Hoya
Destroyed and retired the great Mexican, beat him to a pulp
Two world class fighter there

Speaking to my mate Dan Hewitt last evening we then get onto talking about the best fights we’ve ever seen.
Mine was Azumah Nelson v Jeff Fenech 1.
Thought Fenech was robbed myself and so did everyone else too.
Anyway, 1 hour later Dan phones me back with Jeff Fenech on the line and a three way conversation ensued.
Scarily Dan is interviewing Joe Cortez this coming Sunday evening on boxing tv who was the actual referee for that fight back in 1991.
Jeff Fenech spoke about his open heart surgery that he amazingly survived and to make it even more scary my father passed away in 1976 when he himself had trouble with his heart valve but I suppose back then the medical science wasn’t available.
What a warrior both inside and outside of the ropes.
Anyone interested in subscribing to my mates boxing tv channel then it’s readily available to do so on YouTube and is also available to view on Facebook but Dan is trying to plug the YouTube option as much as possible.
Surreal to say the least.......
Edit - well worth a listen and interviewing some top top fighters both past and present and well worth staying tuned for the quiz at the end too.
Edit. Be speaking to James Toney too amongst others.

In reply to Post #1205 Indeed mate....such a shame.
Was fortunate in that 4 days before lockdown he fought for the IBO continental title which fortunately opened the door for him.

In reply to Post #1204 I feel sorry for him pal , apparently no boxing will take place now for at least 12 months , alot of decent boxers are going to miss out.

Nice grounded lad too.
Hopefully he’ll push on further now.
He’s now 31 years of age but he’s a young 31 in that he feels he didn’t fully grow into his body until the age of around 27 and that has resulted in possessing that knock out punch. He took time out from boxing to start a family and to concentrate on his career as a lecturer. Felt that he had to return back to the ring as he’s a 3-4 year window to achieve whatever is possible and to have no regrets.
Turned pro around 3 years ago now and fought some good opponents in that time and fortunately remains undefeated in 10 bouts.
If dedication gets one to the top then he’ll get there.
Good luck Nathan.

Wow, I’m absolutely buzzing by the news that Nathan Heaney has been signed up by Frank Warren (Queensberry promotions) and BT sports.
His late father will be absolutely delighted as he’s always said that one day Frank Warren will sign his son up and the hard work he’s put in to achieve that will now become even harder.
Well done Nathan, really really happy for you and for all those who’ve put in the hard work behind the scenes too and his trainer Steve Woodvine is also an amazing gentlemen.
Onwards and upwards from here on in hopefully and above all else remain safe.
