I went this weekend, have to say it is a lovely lake, well run. Some great tips in the previous posts on this thread - the corner swim nearest the toilet had carp showing when we arrived. And also swim 1 and 2 is absolutely stunning.

Got there Saturday morning at 8 am for the gate opening, and I was suprised at how busy it was for this time of year.

Nothing had been out, and I had a tench, that was it.

Dan the bailiff was really sound, and other members were friendly and helpful.

There was a fair bit of weed and a lot of active bird life.

Carp showing heavily on the Sunday around 7 am, so again like another poster in this thread wrote, they do show when you're looking.

Defo need to know what you're doing on a water like that, and I'm still getting back into things, so it was a fair bit above my station. However, it was a lovely weekend and I will be back.

Big massive bump...

Anyone on here fished Loggies recently? It sounds a lovely water.

Anyone know much about the substrate of the lake?

as with Little Legs used to fish it whilst it was MKF. Have a look if the old MKF forums still on line and also there used to be a guide by I cant remember his name something like Mick Perry?.

All swims used to produce along the main bar and the toilet swim used to have a reed bed on the left handside and also try the far left corner. A vastly under used swim used to be the far corner from the toilet swim where I had a 35LB mirror from. Used to be a lot of Premier bait and ABS going in although that may have changed. Give Fat Fish Tackle they may be able to help more.

Fished it many times when it was mid Kent.
Itís a cracking water,as previously said the gravel bar runs under the power lines was always a starting point.
As itís now day ticket I would maybe try and think outside the box and try something different.
Donít neglect the margins as swim 1 and 2 done quite a few fish just a rod length out.
Hope that helps

If your going during the week you wonít have much trouble getting a swim I fished it a couple of times last year during the week for 48 hours and 72 hours and their was plenty of swims available at most 5 people fishing on both occasions itís mainly weekends you need to book on due to how busy it gets
