In reply to Post #436 It's gone again.
It's fairly regularly got a voucher, if you're in no rush hold on and randomly look. They've been silly 10 or 15% 30% 40% and then often 50% like twice in the last week ish.

In reply to Post #433 Like the leg solution, going to nick that idea
Anyone following this, the stove stand I linked below arrived today, it's proper heavy duty, impressed for the money
Perhaps we need a 'pimp my stove' thread

In reply to Post #419 Stove stand arrived today.
It's slightly too small for my bulin stove with the legs fully extended but I can just leave them in a bit. At some point I will find a metal tin lid about an inch wider and drill 3 holes to locate the legs.

It's a shame there is nowhere convenient to store the legs... perfect.

In reply to Post #417 I do like the simplicity of that design and your solution too Gerry. I had thought of doing the same thing years ago with a MSR Trillium base but couldn't justify the cost, still can't!

In reply to Post #428 yes mate
I have the 25,27 and mini plus lots of different spirit burners
I have been using them for donkeys but the banks of the Tidal Trent are the reason I bought the leveling device in 2016
a blooming site different to any pit I have ever fished

In reply to Post #426 Getting it all level is easy to do with the Trangia as the burner (fuel or gas) is built into and as one with the pan stand and the wind shield surround. The burner will always be perpendicular to the pan or kettle base. If the ground is uneven a twig or two under the base in the correct position sorts it.
As a Trangia owner I’m sure you already know this OG. If there was any benefit to one of these adjustable pot stands with a Trangia then they would be available as part of the kit. Those Swede’s ain’t daft and they certainly don’t only cook on level ground.

In reply to Post #424 Re the windshield. Can't see me needing more than 2cm for levelling, 2cm for Steady Rig base and my stove is 9cm high, around 13cm total, coincidentally same height as that stove base. I already use a half height shield at 15 cm (off memory), I do have a standard 1 somewhere too but prefer not to use it (wind).
