Big up for Luthi, after that article on his performance in Moto GP saying he had no place in the sport.
What a ride, he needed 1 more lap and baldasari was done.
Very interesting re Gardner's tyres as well, they just died in the last 2 laps

Best

Very successful rider, but like you say, the Ducati dominated, was a revelation at the time compared to the competition

Just looked at a 1299 today and a 959

Zx10r and S1000rr yesterday. Think I might get an Aprilia RSV4 this year, sound sublime, what an engine

Hi Russ

I would have gone Marquez as well until I saw Vinales in qualifying, he looked so smooth, almost a different rider to last year.

Best

Foggy/ducati held the podium record, 100, for 18 years and others were on ducati's at the time so I would argue it was the rider, having met him I would say his level of determination and commitment were higher than anyone else he rode against. The Honda has also had a reputation as an animal to ride which maybe why Danny was bitten by it so many times.

Race day chaps. My money is on Marquez if he stays up right.

Lowes will fall off as well

The bikes the biggest part for me and those Honda’s are exceptional, no doubt, If Rossi and MM were on the same bike then that would be the test. Agree though, MM is a great rider, let’s see how he fairs against Lorenzo, I expect his talent to shine

As for the bikes, look what Batista has just done in WSB, that V4 Ducati is untouchable on the straights, can’t compete, 15 second gap! and Rea riding the tyres off it

Same when Foggy was riding them, different league at the time, his Moto GP career says it all

Disagree, it's the person on the bike that makes the real difference. Stoner proved this winning the title on a machine nobody including Rossi could ride. Let's also not forget Rossi had a machine developed for him that was superior to anything else including the one has team mate rode. Love or loathe MM he is the most talented rider I've seen since I started watching in the early seventies and let's not look back with Rose tints on as Rossi has taken out his share of riders over the years and used his mind games and huge fan base to intimidate rivals.

I enjoy watching the Qatar race, it looks good under the lights but I've read in the past a lot of the riders don't like it..the shadows make it hard also likes been said the sand blowing over the track.bit of a **** track to actually go and watch the race live, only one stand..crafty mm93 getting a tow in q2 to nick 3rd. Rossi has his work cut out tomorrow but never rite him off come race day.
