In reply to Post #151 We left on Saturday morning in sunshine and had good weather and only saw a shower on Wednesday and two Thursday but two more heavier ones Friday on way home and told it has been bad down south. The roads were great and very little traffic, the food was great and dirt cheap compared with the rip off south.

Well, back from the 500 Scotland, 2000 miles. If anybody here know any of the film crew making the crown program for Netflix please say a massive thanks from me. The hotel we stopped at a mile from John o'groats saw us in the bar and these people were in there on their last night and 2 were playing guitar's and harmonica and singing, mostly sixties to eighties stuff that none of them looked old enough to have known, the petite shy blond was fantastic, only wish I had taken my phone and video's it. Ramdom night added to a great trip I will never forget.

In reply to Post #148 I think Jorge will call it a day at the end of this season.and I wouldn't blame him. I always thought he shouldn't of moved from Ducati to join Honda,he had the bike sorted and would of been a big threat to Marquez.as much as I admire Marquez as a pilot I don't like the behind the scenes of Honda. I think, and its a big think, they threw **** loads of money at Lorenzo just to fck him up..id love for him to get fit, join Suzuki or even back to Yamaha then flick the middle finger up at honda. he was 45 seconds behind Marquez at argon riding with a broken back he has nothing to be ashamed of..his a class rider and id like to see him back on the grid when fit.

Just see a interview with Lorenzo. Thought he was going to burst into tears. The guy has lost it he’s a broken rider and it looks like he might not come back from it. He is so far of the pace for someone that’s a 5 time world champ. Think that last fall where he broke his back has broke him too. Hopefully I am wrong and once again we will see him back on top.

In reply to Post #140 Interesting first paragraph mate
Totally agree about the bike and electronics. A 500cc two stoke was just pure evil!

In reply to Post #129 I think Rossi left Honda because at the time he wanted a two year extension on his contract and they were only willing to offer him a one year extension which was madness seeing as he was winning races at the time but being the giants they are they stuck to their guns, he left a winning bike for a bike that wasn't winning and along with Burgess turned Yamaha into a winning team, it will be interesting to see if Marquez ever manages to do the same. Marquez used to idolise Rossi but I think he treats him with disrespect now, considering Rossi goes a long way to making Moto GP what it is today, like ive said before lets wait and see the slump in figures when he retires
As for hooligans, I witnessed some disgraceful drunkard behaviour at Donnington in 2001 when the tossers set fire to a load of portaloo's, in fact it was a frightening atmosphere which ive never experienced at a Spanish GP, I was camped out and had ****ers chucking up outside my tent.....nice!
And speaking of 2001 lets also not forget that Rossi was winning on the old 500cc machines which were far harder to ride than todays bikes, that's not to say MM wouldn't have won on them as well but it also just shows Rossi's longevity....2001 ff's sake.....my hair was jet black then....sadly its gone grey now!

In reply to Post #136 Money is massive. Once watched a Colin Edwards interview, he said a motor GP team bike would have diamond encrusted brake callipers on if they thought they needed it, in comparison to a WSB which he said it was like riding round in an armchair lol
Enjoy your ride, nice
Is that your Multistrada then?

In reply to Post #137 Done it and the factory when at the world ducati bike week. Some seriously wealthy people with some seriously expensive ducati's but I'm one of the poor relations, I actually ride mine though which is unusual as the the average owner seems to only do a thousand miles a year while I'll probably double that next week.
