What a goal by Yamal
Edit, I'm constantly told how great the French team is, I get fed up hearing it, just like how great PSG were with MB, not!. Great game from the Spanish, well deserved.

In reply to Post #478 He should've been banned for life.
I thought the injury time at the very end of the Spain v Germany match was a bit suspect.
It went on and on as if the ref wanted Germany to equalise,

In reply to Post #478 They're all bent to some degree and, given his reputation, I would imagine that his decisions will be under such intense scrutiny that he will be looking to make the correct ones. He'd just get slaughtered otherwise. 🤞🤞

WTH match fixing ref to officiate the England v Netherlands match, FA not happy app and I can't blame them!
@ scozza, Zirksee got a little run out, not enough for any idea of potential.

In reply to Post #476 I want us to win it but I think Spain would be the hardest draw. Either way, ain’t no easy games now

In reply to Post #475 Agree re Turkey, that young lad is something else. Gakpo deserved that bit of luck for not giving up and chasing the ball down. Was a good end to the match. 2 wins on the trot not a penalty shoot out in sight, I'll take that
Edit, according to the papers the Netherlands have only lost once in competitive football to England and if they get through Koeman wants Spain as they've already played France, not so sure myself, think I'd prefer France, I'd fancy Spain....hmm

In reply to Post #474 More luck than anything. Turkey are a good side and a nice watch, attack, attack, how many chances last off!!!

Not looking good :-( De Puy needs to come off Weghorst on, someone who will get behind the Turk back 5 DP just holds up play back to goal. When the wingers do get it there's no 1 in the middle and Gakpo is being marked out of the game.
Going to be a hard slog beating that Turkish defence.

In reply to Post #470 They had their chances, to be fair they are a decent team. I agree though, we have not real outlets when pressed and we go deeper and deeper
Got to admit, some minerals Trent, not played and what a pen that was!
Palmer looks class and Luke Shaw made a difference too for me. When it opened up it was a bit more entertaining, thought it was going to end to end but we fizzled out a bit, legs had gone which is understandable
As much as I hate to say, it, international football is a different game to what we are used to watching

Were lucky towards the end with those few Swiss chances and hitting the bar.
Kane looked absolutely fu**ed!

In reply to Post #468 Problem is as soon as the oppo get the ball we sit so deep. The Swiss were unlucky in the second half of extra time but for once we had 5 well taken pens.

In reply to Post #465 If he'd done it earlier we might have looked worth a win...
Pleased for the players who put the penalties away.
But by God the football is pretty dire.
England are the new Greece?

First half I was thinking ffs. The subs were the key, straight away, attacking and men in the box. He needs to just tell Bellingham and Foden to run at them. Soon as Palmer was running at them they were on the back foot and **** theirselves
Can’t say I am happy about penalties but they all did well, best I have seen, super composed
Simple for me, they need to play to Kanes strengths and he needs to stay up the field or they have to drop him, great finisher but not getting any service, when we do have the ball he has the pace of a donkey and is on the half way line ffs
Really liked the look of Toni, him and Foden up front running at them could be something special for us

In reply to Post #466 Taken a charmed path so far so wouldnt surprise me if they did, but wouldnt it be great if they could put in a performance we could all be proud of.
Apart from the last minute equaliser theres not been too much jumping off of my chair from me
