In reply to Post #1000 Hi Guys
I am new here as well. All the way from wild South Africa, we fish the Carp Meccas of Africa like Tzaneen and Klaserie dams.
Always willing to learn new stuff and where better to learn than from the guys who have perfected the hair rig?
I have been doing a lot reading on the forum and i have seen alot seems like its a great place to learn new things.....

In reply to Post #1000 Hi all, I am new to the forum. My friends and I used to go fishing quite a lot but then we all started driving/got jobs ect and we all ended up not having enough time (mainly due to girls and the pub) anyway a few of my friends have started up again (around 6 months ago) this time round they have both started carp fishing and they both love it I went with them the other day and I have to admit I miss it all, not only the thrill of catching a good fish but the fact of being out and about and in the heart of nature without the worries and stress from the world! I also live a stones throw from 3 good carp/fishing spots and it seems a shame not to make something of it.
Anyway enough of that, I cant wait to get out there again and get catching!
Joe

Hi,
Ive just joined this forum and thought Id introduce myself a bit!!!!!!!!
My name is Stewart, Im 29 and I work as a coach driver.
My PB is a 14 pounder from Broadlands Lake near Southampton a few years ago but unfortunately my fishing has been mainly off than on but a Christmas present has reminded me I ought to go a lot more often than now - it was a Matt Hayes DVD/John Wilson carp fishing book gift pack!!!!!!
When I was at school I used to go fishing at the weekends at the lakes in the grounds of where my dad worked at, but unfortunately its now a hotel/wedding venue, had some great memories there though including catching a 7 pound common carp, having my rod dragged into the lake and my dad not being impressed at having to get a boat to rescue it and putting my rod down on a footbridge going for a drink and catching something through the slats of the bridge lol

Hi all, I'm new to carp fishing and this forum. I fished all my life really but only got into carp fishing back in June this year. Since then I've spent a fortune and confused the hell out of myself but I've enjoyed every minute of it! I've finally got to a point where I feel I know how to catch a few and have had some good results. This forum has helped quite a lot so cheers! Any tips on catching bigger fish would be great. Thanks Simon

In reply to Post #144 Have a good look here search thread for current threads on subjects
There are always loads running and sometimes you need 2 or 3 different search words to narrow it down as everybody titles threads on what they want to convey or are asking etc

Hi all, New to forum, new to fishing. I'm Jon, I live in Medway, Kent. At 35 (in a couple of days). I feel the time is right, to learn how to fish. I will be reading the many threads, to learn as much as I can, as quickly as I can. But what I really want to do, is just actually get out on a lake and go fishing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
No gear, no Idea..
