In reply to Post #1000 Look at that. 1000 posts and not a cross word among them.
Well done all and have a good day

In reply to Post #998 And what the picture behind the band was of?
I went through a similar journey with the spice girls tbh. .. that classic early stuff was so innovative and then after spice world it just changed. Sad times

In reply to Post #997 I wonder how many of the younger people in the audience realised that was a telephone dial in the background?
I used to love ELO and bought the first 6 studio albums on their release then as they become more popular I went the other way and ended up hating them and thought Out Of The Blue was awful and as more people began to be fans it turned me more and more off them, the emergence of the punk scene and keep it simple probably had something to do with it as well.
I hate Mr Blue Sky so much I get annoyed when I hear that awful Vocoder voice but after Mal’s link I think enough time has passed to say that at least I can now go back and enjoy the first 6 albums,

In reply to Post #996 I am groot....
This one for me this morning. Probably my favourite ELO song, love the bridge section. This live version is better than most bands would be able to do in a studio!

In reply to Post #995 Some belters on it for sure, such a strong era tho it gets missed, by me at least.
I couldn't seem to pick up absolute 90s (dab radio) last week, fancied that in the car for some longer than normal drives, realised I need to refresh the music in the car.
I found this
and this
Under a seat, something different for me

In reply to Post #990 I don't mind that, and most Tom Jones is a bit questionable to me
Saw a mates dad have a near miss in traffic yesterday, had a good chat while he calmed down a bit and he started talking of the time he "rolled his nova"
Lots of songs fit that lyric but this one stuck in my head
rolled a nova

In reply to Post #991 I'm not a Frampton fan I found his voice gizmo on that 'Comes Alive' annoying.
But that was good, I enjoyed that
Then YouTube stepped onto this one also a nice Sunday listening
