Anyone know the best place to buy technium in 12lb ? I’m going to get some for my all round fishing where no weed and snags. I’ve tried the ogx in 18lb and that’s just as bad as the last spool of gthd I bought.

Maybe the 15 wasn't affected by whatever the problem was, bargain if that's the case 👍

Its my understanding that it went cr*p when they decided to change the XT formula to the XT loaded formula (the 'faster sinking variant' which was always springy and horrible) and sell it with XT packaging, the only point of difference now being line colour . . .maybe they sold more Loaded to noobs etc and it was a marketing decision. . . . .who knows?!

I had a similar experience with xt in 15lb. I even tried gardner fluro lube on it and it would be ok for the 1st few casts, then back to coiling again. I'm back on Exocet pro in 18lb and not sure why I changed in the 1st place!

I've checked a spool of the 15lb earlier and it seems absolutely fine 🤞🏻

I agree it was brilliant, one of my spools has gone a but twisted, I thought I could just renew it.

Yep, never looked anywhere else for years, was a great line, ridiculous decision to change it, ruined.

Synchro XT . . .RIP

PB Hybron (if you're feeling flush) or TA OGX is the way forward . . .

What breaking strain did you buy? I've got 12 and 15lb, but only want to use the 15lb for now.

Test the Bobco stuff well, all the spools I had were crap, enough to put me off using technium although I had no problems with it before.

So for some reason I decided to spool up with Synchro xt rather than my usual Technium.
It spooled up nicely. Hung limp and straight, looked great. Three very short afternoon sessions, with just one or two rods and it was behaving impeccably, apart from not sinking as well as the Technium.
Now three nights in and the stuff has become a complete nightmare!
Coils the whole length of it. Springing from the spool if the tiniest bit of slack is given and bizzarly seems to be even more keen to sit on the surface.
This crap will be getting stripped off as soon as I've got some more Technium delivered, or I might do a thorough test of the Bobco stuff I've been to worried about to even look at.
