Evening all.

There's a huge amount of information in the book, some of it won't appeal to all but for many they will learn a massive amount as well as enjoying a dip back into the past.

They're landing with customers as we speak and we've had phenomenal feedback already with over half the print run already sold.

I'm extremely grateful for the many contributions made by the authors. It's a great line up. One things for sure, when you look through that list of people there's going to be more than one or two things of interest to most of you.

Happy to answer any other questions should there be any.

Thanks Darren. I’m in a fortunate position that I don’t have too. I don’t need to write books, I don’t need to go on podcasts. I don’t need social media. The stuff sells itself. It always has really.

Unfortunately, anytime I do open my mouth it just makes it viable for another 25 hook bait companies to open. Normally former friends or customers. All normally with some spiel about ‘curing’ or ‘culturing’, selling ‘cure’ potions, the list is endless. It’s waring.

In the carp fishing game you get zero respect from those people. Because they ALL want what we have. The product. None of them have it though. I loved carp fishing my whole life. The love started to get taken away over the last decade. That’s just business I suppose. It is for all them anyway. I actually really loved it though. Obsession. That’s where the hook baits came from in the first place. But then everyone else wants that, and then the troubles start,

I get messages from real carp anglers every single day, telling me how our stuff has changed their whole carp fishing in ways they can’t even describe. Some of whom have been fishing far longer than me. I love that part so much. The lack of any respect from within the bait/carp industry itself kills me though. There is none. Not from the desperados who want that for themselves. That’s why I’ll now happily take on absolutely anyone who fancies losing money to me in a little match. Money into escrow. Winner takes all. They use their bait/ manufactured hook bait. I use ours. Somewhere easy. That offer is open to ANYONE within the bait/tackle industry. Absolutely ANYONE. Talk is so cheap. I can prove anything I say very publicly & win a load of money at the same time. I back my judgement on a daily basis with serious money with the traders of the biggest bookmakers in the land. About this right here, it could be any amount of money. I might even offer odds in some cases.

I’d so love to talk to the normal carp anglers publicly about bait. I can’t. You see what happens if I do. Anything relevant I do mutter, will be reproduced as someone else’s. That’s the carp industry unfortunately when you have something real, that others don’t have. It brings a savegeness with it.

There will come a time in the not so distant future when carp fishing will never hear from me publicly again.

I totally understand why.
That would be a great shame Mark, as your posting, knowledge and results have definitely put 'hookbaits' in a different light.

Thanks for the kind words Roland.

Carp fishing got my hook baits from me. The money is really nice, but it’s also caused me nothing whatsoever but problems ever since it started. Especially my own fishing. I preferred being in the shadows. Carp fishing gets nothing else from me like that publicly anymore. There is zero respect from any of them mugs, because they want that for themselves, but they don’t have it. They will never have it either.

There will come a time in the not so distant future when carp fishing will never hear from me publicly again. I look forward to that day more & more in all honesty. I bet there’s a whole raft of them in that contributors list who will dance for a week when that happens.

But until then, the offer stands. I’ll put my money where my mouth is any day they all want and blow anyone of them out of the water & take their dollar from them.

Anything thought provoking from Bill Cottam, Gary Bayes, Marcus Watts and Geoff Bowers has got to be worth a read, hopefully it has different material/s from previously published stuff.

Thanks Mark,
My piece is only a small one, nothing significant tbh... But the book does have the likes of Mr Bowers, Shaun Jarvis, and plenty of other interesting people in, so I think it should be a good read overall.
But I get your point about some people there that you've crossed swords with in the past. From my point of view, I've have liked to have seen a big piece by you in there for sure as that would have made a cracking read.

I've never read a BCSG book, or looked into membership before.

Is it worth the effort to apply, the 40 quid, and are any of the books worth a read?

Sorry - bit of a thread hijack!

No offence to you whatsoever Roland, but reading a few of them contributors, I’m so glad that I’ve never joined the BCSG. Many of my ‘internet problems’ over many years or their close pals right there on that very list. I’ve had to ban one of them mugs off our social media for trying to cause grief constantly.

Any of them fancy the challenge I posted in the Solar thread, I’m game whenever they want. Any or all of them. All mainly ex members of this forum, who will be reading this without any doubt. Can reduce it to £5k for the ones with the failed bait companies behind them or who can’t afford more. Get in touch boys. We’ll make it happen very publicly. Some of them have such very big mouths on the internet. Maybe they want to put their money where their mouths are in the real world about it. I’m so game. I very much doubt ANY of them are. Don’t worry boys, I will not be about in carp bait forever. Come take my money off me while you can & back up your bait related chit chat.

The entire reason that I have always steered absolutely well clear of being involved in anything remotely similar myself, especially groups like that. People like them spoken about above within carp fishing/bait make me sick to the pit of my stomach.

Good luck with it Roland.

Been for sale a few weeks now if not a month. Paul Martin did post that shipments had just started late last week of pre-ordered books but it is one guy with over 300 to pack and ship.

It is for sale . Was doubting to order one, but I know that it will be an expensive book taking into account all import taxes one has to pay for a shipment from the UK…
