You have this information from the Russian speaking Ukrainians in these regions? Or do you just spend a lot of time on Facebook?

People of Crimea and Donbass wanted to be part of Russia and were russian speaking and have been murdered and tortured by Ukrainian people for years as said while the world ignored it. As said second most corrupt country in the world and offered peice on several occasions since it started . Offered a deal by trump that would have ensured peice but again not interested.

In 1994 under the tri-lateral agreement with the US and Russia to dis-arm its nukes, Ukraine was given assurances/guarantees of security in order to do so; look at how that's played out. Had Ukraine kept its nuclear capability I very much doubt Russia would have even attempted to annex Crimea in 2014, let alone the full illegal invasion and war in 2022. Ironically given that Zelenskyy is seeking 'security assurances' from the US now for the future, I'd be pointing out that the US has already let him down significantly in allowing his country to be invaded and any promises for future security probably have no substance to them.

"Modern Ukraine was entirely created by Russia or, to be more precise, by Bolshevik, Communist Russia," he said.

The process started right after the 1917 revolution, when Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin and his associates "separated, severed what historically Russian land is" to form the Soviet Republic of Ukraine, he added.

Then, another Soviet leader, Joseph Stalin, transferred to Ukraine some lands that previously belonged to Poland, Romania, and Hungary, giving to Poland as compensation "part of what was traditionally German land," Putin also noted.

Finally, in 1954, one more Soviet leader, Nikita Khrushchev, took Crimea away from Russia "for some reason" and also gave it to Ukraine.

"In effect, this is how the territory of modern Ukraine was formed," Putin said.

An now he wants it back. They are an independent state and don't want to be part of Russia, similar to the breakaway states, Chechen War? what happened there!

Disagree with Putin being the real threat, the land Russia has taken was predominantly occupied by russian speaking civilians who want to be russian and have been persecuted by Ukraine and many were murdered while the world did nothing so Putin did. Zelensky was offered peice talks only two weeks into the war but refused and has done so ever since. Why are we funding the second most corrupt country in the world ? Starmer talking about troops on the ground but let's not forget thousands fled Ukraine and as they have all served under subscription they should be returned to fight for thier country before any of our own are sent out there.

Politics makes my **** itch but the war in Ukraine concerns me

I said last time when Trump was in, he got it so right and so wrong and off he goes again!

The press conference was nothing more than an utter embarrassment, staged and truly dreadful and in front of the world, horrendous

On reflection I can understand them wanting some returns in minerals, why not, they are pumping billions in at the moment, or were.

I can also understand them wanting Europe to stand on its own two feet if I am honest. We need to be united, I believe Putin is a real threat

And, here he goes again, initial stock market crash, 25% import tax for Canada and Mexico and 20% for China.if I was an American citizen I would probably be happy. Opted out of a war and saved a fortune, put a stranglehold on imports which can only be good for US business

But, if anybody could start WW3, it would be this tit

I wish someone would come along and make the UK great again!

So do all you maha flag shaggers

I wasted my time checking if I'd once made any reference that might make you post that assumption about me, I should've known better, seeing as you reference 'shaggers' kindly feck off.

Fwiw, The minute Trump mentioned mineral rights I thought you'd need boots on the ground to protect them, then a few days later T says no one will mess with us if we're there protecting our rights. Clever way to circumvent NATO military restrictions. Any which way you look at it no one actually gives 2 hoots about Ukraine but it's good to virtue signal. The UN & NATO have stood by and are standing by while atrocious are still being committed around the world but as long as there's a resolution that makes us all feel good, that's ignored by everyone...carry on regardless as if doesn't really affect us

So do all you maha flag shaggers feel the same now he has just sold Ukriaine down the river at the behest of dear old Vlad.Honestly we have problems I agree but saying that the orange turd or his lickspittle snake oil salesmen Farridge is the answer is just deranged and the showing tonight in the oval office against a Prseident of a country fighting for its very existence is just disgusting beyond belief.

I understand that logic. But now I’m more super curious to what you actually typed. It must have been fruity.

So basically we no longer live in a free speech democracy. Some folks have the right to say whatever they want. But the majority must now remain silent. For fear of reprisal literally by the powers that be.

It’s getting madder and madder by the day. Not you by the way. ‘It’. Only bad things can come from it. We saved Europe to keep free speech, yet within a century we then start to suppress it among our own people, about the very issues within our own country. Unless you come from certain minority groups.

Forget political correctness. This what you are speaking about here will lead to Reform getting in rapidly in my opinion. Far more than any boats landing on any beaches. The stuff going on now regarding the farmers is also incredible.

What are the odds now on an emergency GA being called sometime soon? They must be tumbling.

Perhaps fear was the the wrong word M, but if it adds gravitas to my feelings then so be it. 'They' should feel fear, just as those they disagree with are made to, if people voice a opinion, which 'they' don't agree with.

I did type a reply then deleted it, because I was thinking things which I shouldn't be made to think, as I don't believe free speech still exists, if ever it did, and isn't just a illusion to passify the masses, just like democracy.

Eg, my sisters and wife are in reasonable jobs, it wouldn't be hard to find them or their employers via linkedinn. If it was pointed out that their brother/husband has any opinion that was viewed as other than mainstream, it may reflect badly on them, not directly of course, but in whispers, upon high where the mandate is spread from.

And that's enough for me to reframe from voicing a opinion on a public forum.

I walked the dogs today, I normally say hello to everyone I meet, I'm just like that. 1 person just looked away, another looked at me quizically, isn't it easier to smile or say hello.

What you scared of, fear of what?

That photo was taken from a Faceache post yesterday on some comedy page where it was getting ripped to bits. It gained 3k likes I think, mainly angry or laughing faces. You should read some of the comments on that post. Nothing you say could come close to some of the stuff being said on there I'd bet.

It's 2025. It's long been accepted for decades now that being gay or of a different gender is completely normal now. So why is all this happening? I understand we cannot offend anyone. Will an elderly gentleman not be completely offended to be asked before an X-Ray if he's with child first? Does that not matter?

I'll be straight right now, If any Doctor asked me if I am pregnant before an important scan, I'd be instantly asking to go private and for a doctor that is clearly qualified. That one just asked me if I'm preggers, when I'm about to have my balls X-Rayed.

Edit... Ah scared of 'they', I see.

'They' have got Dave from accounts on daytime TV next week, he has an extreme french maids outfit fetish with a unique and quite spicy twist. He might even knock one out onscreen if anyone watching are really lucky. That will be a treat. Might solve truancy. Might scare poor old Doris into having a heart attack. But Dave has his personal story that he wants/needs/has to express.

It's hard to even fathom what the actual feck is going on these days. But it's stuff like this that is the reason we are on the most slippery of slopes as a nation it would seem. Political correctness or whatever you want to call it, gone absolutely bonkers. This seems to becoming the normal. People in other countries who formerly had the upmost respect for us as a nation, are watching all this and laughing at us. There's likely a couple of superpowers licking their lips.

Edit, deleted post, can't comment, fear has won.
Edit 2, for clarity, not of you M, but 'they'.

If anyone needs to see why our 'Great' Britain is losing so much respect around the world faster than a hot knife through butter, here it is. Mad stuff like this being forced down everyones throats.

We invented likely more than half the great stuff in the world currently over the last couple of hundred years. We saved Europe twice. The world actually loved us and respected us for all that.

Does anyone truly believe that they respect us for this? Or even believe this is going on everywhere else?
