I think some of the comments a bit laughable in this thread
FFS !!! the guy is following a frigging river some parts have a good road and access and he try`s a couple of days in them
while other sections difficult or impossible to reach with a car
so this is where his bike comes into play he is trying to find and try these spots
but he aint gonna drive past a good looking spot thats got good access is he ? the main goal is to catch some fish isnt it ?
all in all he shows everything the good and bad and his video`s are a breath of fresh air
a very likable chap and a bloody good angler too

In reply to Post #20 I actually find him more watchable than his Mrs tbh despite her assets, her accent grates on me. Another decent film/two films, and I like the way he's always fishing off piste to an extent.

In reply to Post #18 I have just done 9 nights on a big barrage and longed for the sound of my Nash alarms!

|

In reply to Post #18 Also, the sound of those nash alarms. My god, how awful. I had no idea they were like that, sounds like some kind of Japanese arcade machine.
Good to know its not just me thinking that!

Watched the first one last night.
Looks like a mega adventure, certainly not one I would want to do alone. It's not a complaint....but I feel its been edited slightly to make it look like he's exploring untouched virgin land that has never seen a human. But it all looks well trodden and well fished. In fact, I've not seen any reason yet why he wouldn't have used a car. But that's media, they have to spin a story to make it a bit more exciting.

Watched them last night, fishing, motorbikes, bit of rough camping what’s not to like for me. Looked like hard work that with an overloaded bike, but that is what you call an adventure if you like that sort of thing

In reply to Post #14 Sorry but its got to be said
you are some sort of tool mate ?
telling people there is a right way or wrong way to hold a rod ?? get a life grow up

In reply to Post #14 I guess if he finds it comfortable for him then why wouldn't he keep doing it that way, whos to judge how any of us hold our rod? oh er Mrs! At the end of the day it isn't affecting his catch rate

In reply to Post #13 It isn’t isolated to this film, He is regularly seen holding the rod below the reel seat.

|
In reply to Post #12 Decent enough viewing but will someone teach him how to hold a fishing rod.
Its likely that he isn't holding it "properly" because those rods are only 6ft and likely have a VERY different action to a standard 12ft rod, can you imagine trying to play a 60lb carp on a 6ft rod and not holding it differently to a normal rod?

I thought it was very good,
Samir comes across very well, totally natural and very refreshingly uses very few **** words, no “buzzin” or “zones” just down to earth says it as it is
