Good to hear you guys are enjoying the weather/fishing. For those who can't or don't want to use zigs the fish might hold up in the water, but ime with these conditions they'll also be in shallower water around the edges, even right under your rod tips, as long as you're quiet you'll be in with a chance. They'll be looking for spawn soon too, fish and frog/toad.

Have to admit, im not a zig lover and have never caught on them. Luckily, the little lake i fish days on is only a few feet deep so i just tend to heavily glug etc. to try and tempt them down. I was one of two people that caught yesterday so happy with that.

That sounds like me 8 weeks ago 😂😂😂.
Zigs banned where I am sadly.
They were boshing out all over but only 1 fish out all weekend.
Guess winter isn't over for the carp just yet

A most enjoyable day out. Weather was fantastic, got a bit of colour on my bald patch. Fish showing but only managed to bag a small stockie. The only downside was that i needed 2 trips to get my gear to the lake so ordered a small barrow last night and also decided that my small chair is far too uncomfortable so ordered a new chair as well.

Well I had one at 4 o'clock this morning. Hooked over 2" back in it's mouth as well.

Got cold last night, had to put me extra layer on my bed!!
Been interesting watching the carp, loving the warmth in the top layer but not actively feeding yet (where I am). Quite frustrating!!

Thanks mate been a difficult 3 months so hopefully it will be a good year and not bothered about the size a fish is a fish weather is looking good tho rods out time to chill,and my mom is looking down on me knowing I'm doing something I love

I'm out later on first time since my mom passed away late last year,I need to get out the house rather than either sit at home or work be nice to just get on the bank,it's what my mom would have wanted,for us to carry as as normal as possible and she knew we loved our fishing (me & my brothers)

I've been working down the Pool all week and the lovely sunny days have definitely gotten the carp more active. I've seen several sat around the margins in 2ft of water sunning themselves and cleaning themselves off in the sandy and clay areas.
Fingers crossed for the weekend.

Chillies & toms enjoying daily trips to the greenhouse, 35 deg c in there today!
Hedgehogs been out & about, rescued a few bumble bees off the lawn.
I was hoping to get out today, didn't happen....maybe Fri, raining apparently...typical.
