Typical that it would warm up after I've spent the weekend on the club gravel pit with my 7 year old huddled in the bivvy lol.

To be fair I loved it but that easterly wind was freezing!

Currently teaching my lad how to blank so he appreciates the captures more lol.

I'm at Redmire this weekend. Mild temps but also big winds and lots of rain forecast. Could be good

@ Onslow, bugger, yeah your right about the half term but the cold mornings might put them off.

I used to fish a local shallow pool a day like those warmer ones could be a lot of fun. Same as a local ressy, 25' deep but the fish would be caught in 2' water around the edges on the slopes.

Still a bit to cold for the fair weather brigade.. but will be nice to get a bit of sun on your back for a few hours at least. Assuming we've got mid double figures with high pressure. A few will be coming out on Zigs no doubt. With the still cold nights it will be a while yet before the water warms up enough to get them moving about enough to get on the feed.. bit of a false spring..

The kind of weather winter carpers dream of. Bet some lumps will come out if it's warm and wet (and preferably windy) for a couple of nights 👍👍.

Shame it's during half term so all the bell ends will be at the lakes too 😬

Said to be a period of warmer weather mid to late week, to 14 deg c, should be a few bonus fish coming out especially on shallow venues
