In reply to Post #51 Well, watched the UTD game, unorganised chaos but some how managed to get the win.
Saying that Wolves were ugly, 7 or 8 behind the ball all the time, they will give anybody a frustrating game by the looks of it, had a couple of chances though too
I see TH said in public McGuire has to play for his spot or he is out lol, missed a few others too!
Looks like we are still going to struggle for goals again, I just can’t see anybody in that team being Mr. Consistent, hope I’m wrong!

In reply to Post #50 We should have put the game to bed early on as we were very much on top. The disallowed salah goal woke them up a bit.
They already look better than the mess of last season. Fernandez had a good game and thiago silva at 38 was the best player on the field for me.
From our point of view, gakpo in midfield didn't work. We always find 3-5-2 hard to play against and he was just getting bypassed.
A point away at Chelsea isn't the worst start.
They'll get caicedo and I think lavia will come to Liverpool. Both for more money than they should but its a sellers market.
We need another defender and I really wish they would go for thuram as well
Edit - looks like lavia is going to Chelsea too... that'll teach us for dithering. Still would rather Thuram.

That’s a result for Potty in his first game, looks like they are getting the Brighton lad, Caicedo's, too

I see Haaland is still 'getting to grips with the premier league'....

Just watched the we are Newcastle documentary on prime and its a very good watch. Obviously I'm biased being from Newcastle but the new owners seem to have a good vision for the future of the club and we seem to be in very good hands, especially after the ashley years. Think we might struggle for top 4 though with all the champion league games but would still be happy with top 6. Tough game tomorrow against villa.

In reply to Post #46 Let's face it holding up the Charity shield and claiming it as silverware can't be taken too seriously.
It's all about preparing mentally for the new season but at the same time not taking too many chances with your players and jeopardising your first PL match.

In reply to Post #44 I meant that they'd won the charity shield 5 times...
And klopp is going nowhere 😀

In reply to Post #43 Don't exaggerate Mal. The Arse have only really shown any real intent once in the last 10 years.
If they can last an extra few weeks this season that will be progress.
My prediction is they'll get rid of Klopp and bring in Wenger

In reply to Post #38 You realise that arsenal have made that same statement of intent 5 times in the last 10 seasons...?
Just saying...
Looking forward to the season starting.
I think Rice will do well at arsenal
Chelsea might need a bit of settling down time after the mess of last season
United will realise that just buying someone whose name sounds like Haaland isn't a sound transfer policy
Newcastle will continue to do well
Spuds will collapse
My lot will be better than last year. And Nunez will start to look like a striker again.
And city will look like it was a mistake letting mahrez and gundogan leave.... for a bit. Then they'll just click again.
