pretty cool that

have you come across these guys?

Fishbone - one of the best live acts I've seen. eclectic and a bit bonkers but damn good musicians. Angelo (mohawk guy) had a habit of getting naked on stage!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV5Nkah8nP8 - everyday sunshine

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B61XAN2Ujw - sunless saturday (moshpit mayhem!)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm0th4zgubw - swim (don't let the mrs catch you watching this video!)

You've f*****g jinxed it now

Not listened to a lot of jacko, my parents weren't to keen on him with the rumours around him but he has got some great tunes

Took the mrs to see this lot years back, probably the worst gig I've been too

beat it

Dancing with myself is a classic! (and the way I dance it's the usual...)

Love a bit of Billy

His guitarist, Steve Stevens was fantastic. Famous for what became known as the 'raygun' efect in his solos'

Some of my favourite Steve Stevens bits...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdphvuyaV_I - Rebel Yell with Billy Idol

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUi_S6YWjZw - Dirty Diana - raygun solo at 4.23

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN760628dm8 - his own band. pretty generic hair metal, but a cracking solo!

edit - best thread on the non carp area this! no fighting or bitching and regularly brings up old favourites or new things to listen to. Well done everyone!

Possibly so, possibly make a come back with the youth one day?

Who knows, there was a bit of decent stuff, I could tolerate the pistols and a few more. That’s about it for me

T Rex

Sputnik were good fun. Saw them after they'd faded into obscurity in a pub in Lancaster... how the mighty have fallen eh?

That's understandable now I found out the other day you're not as old as I thought you were.
I do like a lot of your links though probably because it has been influenced by my stuff

I spent the day in a claustrophobic hellhole..…… Some good lyrics there

I've listened to most of the links you've posted, much of it isn't my cup of tea but I can often guess at artists who've been influenced by it. One of the links you posted had me reaching for an enemy album as the style was very similar, just a bit more polished.

I've spent the day in a claustrophobic hellhole and just to rub it in this was the last song I heard this morning

Yeah a lot of classic punk stands the test of time but much of it was a thing of the time, the memories should be cherished but the music is of a bygone age.

A classic
