In reply to Post #33 BFAMW was very funny. Found myself on the end of a few wind ups. But the guys I got to know through it were sound. Still in touch with one or two.
BFW was good too - had some superb Barbel fishing with guys from there.

In reply to Post #32 Fishing magic was great; Lee Swords used to write some great stuff but the forum was tame compared to some.
I missed all the old carp forums as was barbelling and the barbel wars on the forums were great; sound like the old carp forums to be fair.
BFW was full of users with multiple user names and winding people up was the sport; this sprouted BFAMW which was funny too. That's where my user name AKA came from.
Did people in the '70s talk so fondly about the 50s like we do with the 90s and early 2000s now?

In reply to Post #29 Was on both with a similar name, re the Carpy forum, yes it was a fruity with its language, but i am friends with and still fish guys from that forum to this day. We may have come across as a bunch of rude mouthed louts but we were far from it. We had a few get together's on various lakes and rivers over the years.
Cemex was excellent in the early days with everyone on there sharing knowledge and tips, having a laugh and dare i say "baiting the mods!"
The "seldom Caught Lumps" thread was my all time favourite as it led to me creating some pop ups to prove the OP wrong that any bait can catch in the right place at the right time.
Thus was Born Baity Baits- Peach Sweet Pink Pussy Pop Ups! Rolled professionally by another member on there. Another member donated pots, my company paid all the shipping and ever penny i made went to the Micheal Sobbel Caner Centre that looked after my mum in her final days.
Great times, better times, fun times.
