Thanks Mark, yep 13's have been ace on my Jonny Mac rig for sure.

Thing is I've got about 150 quids worth of 13's so want to at least try them before I buy 16's. Unless you have a trade in scheme 😂.

Quote... Roughly, How long will a 13mm cc hold up a 2 inch chod?

With a size 6 hook & a size 12 ring swivel on the chod they will be fine David. The size of the ring swivel on the chod makes a massive difference, as the hook bait not only needs to hold up the hook, but also the barrel of the swivel. On a standard size 8 ring swivel which so many use, that barrel of the swivel is heavier than the hook itself.

Me personally i would always use a 16mm, which will hold up anything forever. 16's for Chods/SHR, 13's for multi's or standard pop up rigs I used to stick to for my fishing.

But the 13's are more buoyant now, with a size 6 hook, a size 12 ring swivel, the 13mm will be fine.

Something no one ever bothers doing, but works exceptionally with the crushed cork pop ups is to use a 16mm. With a serrated knife cut the top 20% off of the pop up, then mount it on the rig so it has the flat side facing upwards. Fish it on a chod or a SHR over chopped boilies. Absolutely deadly. Not just because it is different to what everyone else does. That shape makes a big difference to the mechanics when it comes to a carp trying to blow the hook bait out of its mouth. It's harder for them to deal with.

I would not use EVRI for anything whatsoever mate, they are worse than useless the scoundrels. I stopped purchasing anything whatsoever personally, if they are the listed delivery firm.

Courier arrived yesterday for the pick up. Looked at the five boxes, did an "um" and an "ah". Then claimed that the boxes would not fit into his van. He would need to reassign them. Yet the size and weight of the boxes is logged at the booking/payment stage, so they already knew exactly what they were picking up. He promised someone else would arrive to pick them up shortly. No one did. Ages getting through to their customer service. Pay top dollar for a terrible service & complete waste of time yesterday... After working all through the night to ensure those boxes were ready for the pick up yesterday morning... Then waiting about all day. I was fuming

Hopefully today will be better. The stuff will be with the shops tomorrow now.

Brinks-Mat Dave, Securicor were busy.

Five x large (25kg) boxes full up with hook baits on their way to the shops today.

They will all have them from early tomorrow, which has not been posted anywhere else yet. They will sell out pretty fast I'd imagine as the website has been down. Plus the sheer number of enquiries the shops have been receiving over the past couple of weeks.

As previously mentioned, anything that the shops do not have tomorrow that you need, they will have within the next couple of weeks. You can also contact us via WhatsApp message if you need to before that. Please start your message with what you require exactly, quantities, variation etc.

Received mine yesterday too, thank you Mark.

As an avid S2 user myself I was happy to see a couple of pots of them included, but what intrigued me the most was the TC1's. Not sure what I expected and probably wouldn't have ever brought a tub (as I use S2's) but they smell like they'll catch from the off!

Out on the bank tonight, and I feel like I should give them a go!

I've had 13mm CC's in for over 16 hours and they were still fine when they came back in. i test all my pop rings in the margins pre casting and when they come back in routinely.

Generally a SHR with a 6 or a 4 hook

A 16 will hold a heavy rig for days mate. 13s I’d happily do 24 hours with. At least that’s been my experience with the garlics

From experience 16s will hold up a size 5 ESP chodhammer for well over 24hrs.
13s I found iffy but that was over winter and water density was obvs higher as the temp dropped.
I stick to the larger baits and never had an issue.
