I was delayed for 3 hours going out going to the island lake south of Paris so ended up being very late.
Two days later I got in touch with le shuttle and in the end I got the outward journey refunded and a free trip the following year 😀😛ðŸ‘
But I then realised when I booked the train a couple
Of weeks before I paid for a day return and not 7 days later as it was too late I had to pay about £170 for the return journey

In reply to Post #53 Best of luck mate...on the way out everything went fine, got onto a train 30mins early.
On the way home I made good time and got to Le Shuttle about 5pm, check in was 8pm and train 9pm.
Told the lady I was more than happy to be put on an earlier train "to get me out of the way" and she said "3 trains"...so I figured maybe 1.5hrs earlier.
Got around the corner and there were vans everywhere with lots of carpers laying out in the sun on their bedchairs.
Went into the terminal to see what time "N3" was departing only to find that I wouldn't get on until 11:30pm (3 trains late, not early!)
Hopefully that was a one off...but it's a pain once you're inside the terminal, if I had known about the delays I would have gone to the supermarkets next door or found a restaurant etc etc
Instead I was confined to the terminal.
Rant ends

In reply to Post #51 There was no bio when I went out 12 June and none when I came home 20 June.
I assume bio is the fingerprint and camera shenanigans?
I had to do that at the border when I drove from Croatia into Montenegro last month.

I landed at Dubrovnik Sunday night and had to go through it there. Luckily only 1 plane of people to process but it took a while.
Then jumped in car and had to do the same again as we left Croatia heading into Montenegro, but as it was now 1am there was only a few cars in front of me
Apparently there is normally hours of queuing at the border and there are webcams you can check out online to see how busy it is. Not looking forward to that when I have to head back to Croatia on Sunday, could do with catching the flight home, not missing it
