In reply to Post #89 I asked Adam at the show yesterday if they were lead acid and he said yes.
They will be looking at getting lithium versions at some point, but they want to ensure safety is all sorted...
The Glider is a bit longer than the Trident, too long to go in my LWB Transporter without taking the handles off, so I will be going for the Trident I think.
They were nice barrows. When I first saw the price I vomited too, but I am fortunate enough to have nothing else I need to spend money on - so at some point, when I have gotten over the guilt trip, I will go for it.

In reply to Post #89 I'm going to bet that the R&D on their controller and electrics was done with SLA batteries, and they simply haven't tested a lithium alternative.
Whatever, it's still a massive miss in this day and age.

They've just dropped a video on YouTube outlining the new range
They are lead acid battery powered barrows.

All in all, she's looking rather tasty and thinking of calling her either Blue Thunder or Greased Lightnin'.

In reply to Post #81 Ok, job done! Pretty straight forward as well. Fiddly bit was getting the old square handlebar out but a hefty thwack with my large mallet did the trick. You need to drill out the rivet on one of the old grips as well. The new round bar is quite loose so you have to drill through and use a self drilling screw to secure it in place. Secure the cables in place with velcro straps and cable ties. My rear tyres are now both puncture proof so no more going flat!

I have seen the price the shop has to pay for these barrows, the shop themselves dont make much at all and I mean next to nothing.

In reply to Post #77 You can be sure if they were different they would be selling the absolute shi* out of it being the latest, best tech on a barrow ever...
