The first party that promised to sort immigration out would be straight through the door regardless
These Labour ****s want ****ing straight off, they will take everything off you in taxes and give it to every pilfering **** out there, it’s that simple sadly
I seriously worry about the future for our kids, they need jobs which are not there, manufacturing is dead on its arse and skill sets are changing but jobs are not there in numbers that contribute to the taxes to keep this country ticking over. With a rising population of scrounges sat on their arses, mark my words they will ruin this country, run it into the ground and then **** off somewhere else, rinse and repeat
We need a solution now!

In reply to Post #85 The surge is down to his straight talking, I would say. He also mentioned that it would not be a priority were he to be elected, it was just something he was asked a question about.
With regards to the decades old, failed war on drugs, something needs to change. At least there’s someone now with the balls to come out and say it. There’s a lot of tax to be made, look at the US and Canada. I was in Netherlands recently and it’s amazing how much more mature the discussion is out there. One day the UK will be ready to have that discussion aswell.

Their surge will be down to the ' Titty Whisperers ' recent announcement that he would legalise all drugs should they gain any power. His terrorist supporting deputy would also be followed by his 'community' who are always up for a bit of dodgy postal voting.

In reply to Post #83 Would have thought it was the younger generation pinning their hopes on them to change the world.
Won’t be good for fishing if they get in though…
(Not that I can see that happening)

In reply to Post #82 The Greens are surging in the polls right now. With regards to there only being a “slim” centrist position and extremes at left and right - that’s more about what we’re exposed to day in, day out in the news, media/social media but not representative of the population which will have views that span the entire range and everything in between. That’s why FPTP is so sh*t and nothing ever changes. I am more than happy for MP’s of any persuasion (far left or far right) getting a seat if people vote for them, provided that it’s purely a numbers game without gerrymandering with boundaries, etc etc - true proportional representation and vastly more democratic than the current system.

In reply to Post #81 It doesn’t have to be like that though, hence the discussion. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be anybody out there that people can really get behind on either side right now.

There's no such thing as centre left or centre right any more, only uni party self sustaining centrism or far left/right.
"If voting ever changed anything other than the individuals involved they would ban it"

In reply to Post #77 Yes, it's interesting how the focus is always on the fringes / extremes with nowhere near enough on the middle ground.

In reply to Post #76 I'm not partisan at all. I don't support any of them, as far as I'm concerned they are all as bad as each other. Selfish, corrupt and in it for themselves and not the country. Show me a politician I'll show you a liar

In reply to Post #76 @vossy - Wilders support is in decline, because right wing populism isn’t intended to benefit normal, working people.
It was meant to be a coalition government until it fractured, so you could choose to focus on any of the parties leaders. I don't like 'far anything' but my relatives in the Netherlands feel stretched and I wouldn't say their thoughts on the subject are in decline, the reverse in fact. Much like the folks here, their liberalism and kind nature is being used and exploited, that's the only way any 'far' party gets a look in...thank god.*
Edit, apart from recession & desperation, then there's usually a war that sorts it out, those ingredients are very much in the mix right now for a economy reset...how convenient.

In reply to Post #74 No, you make the incorrect assumption that I am as partisan and inflexible as you are. I want British MP’s, regardless of left or right, to stop ripping the absolute p*ss out of us.
Farage’s rise, off the back of Brexit (abject failure) and racism, makes it even more important that his grifting activity is as transparent as possible.
If there’s anyone in the HOC that’s grifting / doing less work for their constituents than he is, then I’d love to see the details! They should be called out for it.
