In reply to Post #60 They would have done his motor that night. And when he went to rescue his motor, others would have done his kit. You can't win in that situation. Time to go.
He 100% did the right thing.

In reply to Post #21 Quote.... I actually find him more watchable than his Mrs tbh despite her assets
You're absolutely obsessed with big baps Matthew
Do you remember those two ex below from a few years back? You were completely fixated by those big baps too I seem to recall
I watched quite a few more of his videos last couple of days. Including the one at the start of this thread. I can see why locals would get the ump with the films. But the films themselves are top notch. He's definitely easy to watch. Most carp videos I tried to watch previously, I get bored so rapidly and turn them off. Not the ones I've watched of his so far.

In reply to Post #55 Agreed - he wouldn’t have been able to rest easy after the altercation and most likely wouldn’t have ended there. It was a good episode.

In reply to Post #52 There are several ‘unwritten rules’ which Samir is happy to break.
French anglers don’t like that movies are made from their public lakes.
It draws too much attention after the release, messing it up for the locals.
Numerous of examples here: Some lakes in the alps, canals in Belgium, … are packed with UK or Dutch anglers since the release of a YouTube movies of these specific venues.

In reply to Post #52 It's pretty rare mate providing you are sensible.
Go and enjoy your session.

Had a watch as well, funny stuff with the bird watching outfit, but i do have to say that for rocket scientists and doctors it was all pretty mellow, meaning much more hostility seems to be the norm these days. Having said that, yeah f em, and yes as an angler you are more vulnerable than during many other activities. And also, many, many waters in la france where you can still enjoy excellent fishing in total peace, but also way too many area's where this is a problem.

In reply to Post #53 I watched these last night Matt. I don't do YouTube fishing videos whatsoever, but I got stuck in some MTT poker tourney on the laptop until the early hours of this morning. I watched this one & the river Lot one while the missus watched horror films on the TV most of the night.
I like this bloke, he's very easy to watch compared to most. He let them have it & stood his ground, but I make you right.... As a fellow Thames angler you know that once that stuff goes down with a group of young bucks like that.... Staying there for the night under those circumstances is just asking for trouble.
He's there on his own, with his motor in the car park which they are threatening, he did the right thing to go.
I'm going to watch the third one in that bucket list series later.

In reply to Post #52 good luck, you'll be fine
would have preferred to have more from that lake, but don't blame him leaving when he did
Me neither. It's such a shame in this day and age people have to put up with that sort of behaviour.

In reply to Post #51 Watch this last night. Not a good watch for someone going France this weekend to do a week on an open lake 😂
