Another vote for the Cult Tackle holdall. I bought one for my Nephew to fit his 10ft retractables in.

In reply to Post #77 I used the 9 foot Cult holdall for my 3 piece 9 foot stalking rods and it’s been great. The only real alternative was the Century one at 3 times the price I paid for the Cult one.

In reply to Post #76 Second that.. I don't use the Cotswold pace compacts. These Cult tackle holdalls are brilliant. Reasonably priced aswell. I even think Cotswold rods were selling these at one point. Might still do.😀

In reply to Post #74 Have a look at the AD advanta 3 rod 10ft retractable holdall. I've got one for my soniks it's spot on pockets for sticks landing net etc. Nice heavy duty material and well put together. Doesn't break the bank about 55 quid.

In reply to Post #72 Sounds about right. I never met Steve but I get the impression that he knew what he was talking about and didn't mince his words. Need a few more like him

In reply to Post #68 Met Steve a few years ago and had a long chat about blanks, remember him saying at the time that there wasn't a carp rod on the market with ten quids worth of carbon and resin in it.

In reply to Post #66 Is that not how retail works? Everything is cheaper wholesale but unless you want 1000 fishing rods or bedchairs you deal with the bloke who took a punt to make a profit/had the capital to do it.
Free spirit have been made abroad for donkeys years and some of them are nudging £400!!

In reply to Post #65 No need to scan the blank of the 2 rods mentioned, they are all made in the same factory. But yes you are right they can replicate anything.

In reply to Post #65 You only need to look on Ali Baba !! They were selling the older version of the Nash sleep system for £89

In reply to Post #64 And they have the technology to scan any blank and reproduce it in large volumes if they want.
