If I need to cast, i have my 12ft Torrix for the job. ( or my boat…..😂)
Those wychwood will be for 80% of my fishing that is under 80 yards.

They are great rods; lovely playing action.
Doesn't feel overgunned on small carp, yet has plenty of power for dealing with big fish too.
A proper caster could probably get over 100 yards with them, I can just about manage 20 wraps.

Have used these rods for past 3 or 4 years, light, responsive, quick tip when casting, rods bend when playing fish, absolutely love them. Have landed upper 30lb fish on them with zero problems, love them

I find them well balanced and not tip heavy at all. I have used them with my ss2600 reels and that is a really great and light combo. On a recent trip I put my tournies on them just to try them with a bigger reel, but I like them better with the ss2600.
I've had fish to over 40lb on them and never felt undergunned.

Most modern 10ft 3 to 3.5 test rods have a progressive blank, it’s also the most common action.
The Extricator, Sonik Xtractor, ESP Onyx Compact, and several Fox EOS 10ft models all lean towards a progressive action.
So take your pick.
Some maybe a bit more crisper than others

I have used them for some years now and they are really nice rods with a great playing action. From what you write I think they will suit you.

Any user of those rods ?
I fish canals, little river and also gravel pit but absolutly don’t need distance casting powerful rods !
I hate broomstick, i like to have a rod that bend when i play a fish, but i also hate a noodle, i like a progressive blank.
How this rod Will compare ?
