In reply to Post #5 On closer inspection it does seem Most brands 15 lb showing as 0.33 on these tapered lines
So yes it looks like more faffing about is necessary to back them out

In reply to Post #1 300m of what diameter? Most of the Daiwas take 300m of 0.35!

Daiwa 19 Basia 45 SCW
Daiwa 20 Whisker 25QD
Daiwa 22 Whisker 45 SCW QD OT
Daiwa 23 EMBLEM 35 SCW QD
Daiwa 20 CROSSCAST 45 SCW QD / SPOD
Daiwa 20 CROSSCAST 35 SCW QD
Daiwa 23 SUPER SPOD 45 SCW
Just to annoy you further Korda Longchuck Tapered in poss the most popular strain 12-30lb is only 0.30 for the majority of the 300m spool . . .so you're either going to be underfilled or need a backer of some sort . . .the 15-20lb is also only 0.33 so the same applies!

You can get custom spool reducers custom made from the likes of Kraken Tackle, why restrict reel choice 👍

Other than the Emblems QD 45;
What else has spools that take 300m exactly
One of the venues I fish tapered lines is the way to go
To save the faff and make things easier Not using backing
