In reply to Post #10 Only needs a piece of say a glass bottle left on the grass this time of year and you can create fire in no time.

In reply to Post #13 Russia did some 'cloud seeding' to try to produce more snow last time they had the winter Olympics. It's def a thing, but apparently it's quite hit and miss and expensive.
Very different to the idiot conspiracy theories about planes spraying something in the sky when you can see vapour trails.

In reply to Post #13 Whilst I’m not into conspiracy theories I do like to read up on things. Here’s some info from the Met Office website:
“There is no official government map or active cloud seeding program operating in the UK today, as the UK government does not perform cloud seeding. Official agencies confirm that weather modification operations are not taking place.“
So looking at that we can see that cloud seeding is a thing, when I (briefly) read up on it a couples years ago I believe Barium was one of the substances used. When I say used, they have to spray it from a plane, it’s no use doing it at ground level 😂
I believe they claim they try to cloud seed over areas that need more rain. Personally I think they should just leave Mother Nature alone and let things happen naturally, usually when humans interfere in nature they can’t foresee the side effects that might happen
“Yes, you absolutely can make clouds. Clouds are simply water vapor that has cooled and condensed into tiny water droplets. Since they require warm moist air, a drop in pressure (or temperature), and tiny particles to cling to, you can easily replicate this in a simple home experiment.”

They'll be caused by the usual dicks lighting fires or smoking ... We've just had a huge 1 near Manchester caused by idiots setting off fireworks, as usual it was blamed on climate change until it was proven otherwise ! ... I wouldn't put it past the climate loons to start them just to say we warned you !

In reply to Post #1 I was in Spain and Portugal last autumn, the devastation left after the fires was shocking.
It’s amazing how they save the houses and outbuildings
