That is a decent price but that’s not what they charge, 10 x 10oz are £25.19 so again, not too dissimilar from the big brands.

I like using heavy leads. 10 x 10oz leads in any finish you like for £15 posted is a decent price in my book.

Out of interest, why would anyone buy these as they’re pretty much the same price as top brands?

Xclusive tackle do Roger and Kerry’s and I’m pretty sure it’s the same mould as WCL use, as I’ve got some from both in my lead pouch and except for the coating colour, I can’t tell them apart.

West Country Leads are always good vfm, good quality and a wide range of options IME - just had to wait a little time as already mentioned . . .

Leroys leads / feeders also quality . . shame he's now retired!

I’ve used WCL for years but the last order I made took forever to come and communication was pretty poor in all honesty.
Never had any problems with the actual leads just the time it took to get them.

I’d probably look elsewhere in the future to be honest.

Shame as I like the Roger & Kerry Leads that WCL does.

Recently ordered some leads from Fishing Leads UK. They arrived within a few days of placing the order and look as good as any lead I have purchased before.

Waiting 30 or more days for leads like seriously 😂😂😂

Steves lead made me 60 inline leads (30x2.5 30x4) 2 weeks ago, ordered on Thursday morning collected on Saturday afternoon only because he was down the pub Friday night otherwise I could have had them sooner.

I Don't think I'm a special customer either. He just does his stuff quick and well.

I’ve always messaged on Facebook rather than go through the website.
Sometimes the downfall of a small business when they start supplying larger retailers and can’t meet the demand for stock quick enough. Hopefully not the case as WCL have been good from my experience.

I'm the same, ordered beginning of june and heard nothing yet, I've used them many times and spring/summer can take up to a month in the past, I did notice total fishing tackle selling his leads now and don't know if that's new but maybe why

I haven't bought for a long time, maybe something has changed. I bought 2 lots of leads and all of them were perfect and have had no issues with coatings coming off. I did have that problem with my previous supplier which is why I changed.

Been using KJM for years. Richard makes leads for most shops so turn around can be bit slow but the quality is very good and he is by far the cheapest on top

I used kJM leads a few weeks ago and was very impressed. Cheapest I could find, nice coating colours and when they came they were absolutely spot on. They were not the quickest and they took a while to arrive - 10 days or so - but I was in no rush and I was more than happy with the quality.

Just bought some from West Country Leads, but not loads (thank god!!). Before that I used to get them from Carter's Lead on Facebook. He's pretty good and reasonable. I'd try and get someone local if you can so you can collect to avoid postage costs.

Xclusive Tackle are pretty good and reasonably quick. I’ve used them loads the last couple of years.
Used WestCountry leads once a few months ago and although the leads were very cheap at only 60p each, quality seemed as good as Xclusive’s. However, delivery time was pretty slow at 3+ weeks and communication wasn’t the best.

I had the same issue with my last 2 orders. He offered to recoat for me if I took them back, 4 hours each way or a hefty postage cost so I never did. I still havent fished this year so got plenty but when I start back and need a top up I will be looking st some of the options mentioned here. Shame as before that they were great

I've been using Johnson Ross' own brand leads. £7.50 for 5. Not the cheapest, but much cheaper than the major brands. Only been using them for a few months so can't comment long term but so far so good.

I use mp lead shed normally. But got my last lot from omc. They had an offer on with free postage so didnt cost me anymore than getting them from mp leadshed, and i didn't have to pick them up. Im not an omc or ali hamidi fan fyi, far from it, was purely a price and convenience thing, but they seem pretty decent so far. Not sure if the offers are regular but worth keeping an eye on. Otherwise, MP Leadshed is my go to. Never had any issues with them.

Hi guys,

As above. I've been out of the lead game for a while because I used to buy in bulk. The last outfit I used was Liverpool Leads and I think that was before Lockdown 1.0 They've gone now, unfortunately; excellent leads, service etc. mind.

So who's good now? I'm sure someone must have picked up their slack 😀

I wasn't happy spending £2.80 per (Korda) lead in my local tackle shop recently, hence the post.

I'm happy for Facebook/Insta recommendations.

Thanks.
