How far is he willing to travel? Waterbrach angling club have a couple of day ticket waters highly stocked, good for a bend. Rivers are free in the centre but cant comment of the quality of the fishing on there currently

Hi everyone, a friend of mine has kitted himself and his lad out with float fishing gear for his lads birthday. Both are inexperienced so looking for somewhere in or near Cambridge they can go with half a pint of maggots and catch some small bits. Not sure what the rules are on fishing the river in the city, are there any free/day ticket stretches for example. Any advice appreciated

Cheers.
