The photo below is of two 15l buckets. One is completely filled up to the top with 16mm cc original S2 pop ups. The other just over half way with 13mm cc original S2 (same amount of tubs). There is the same amount of both sizes in balanced too. We currently have those four of OG S2 replicated in Fizz-S2, GPB2, GPB1, ScopexPineapple-S2, PPPP-S2, Ming-GPB2. This will all be in the shops on Tuesday. That is a hell of a lot of hook baits. It has taken far longer to resolve than I imagined, just purely because of volumes.

As has been posted on the SHB thread at various times, anyone could contact us direct whilst we opened another base. Even though the website is down through our choice, many people who needed stuff urgently have contacted us via WhatsApp message and been sorted out what they needed.

Nothing whatsoever has changed with the hook baits. We just had to upscale again and get a second base. We went from selling many hundreds of tubs quite regularly, to selling many thousands of tubs quite regularly, that’s all. At all points we have been able to swallow the expansion as it’s happened previously. We could not this time. We had to close down for a little while to get the shops properly stocked. We needed to throughly stock the shops up. That’s why we took the website down. Whilst the stuff is on the shelves is outsells everything else by a considerable margin in the biggest independent shops in the country. The website might come back at some stage (a new one), but likely not. The shops can’t keep the stuff on the shelves. Makes me very proud indeed & I'm a very lucky man. But it also means zero time for me anymore & lots of stress currently. I will likely not be about much online for a while.

I am really sorry for anyone who has not been able to order over the past month or so. If you are desperate all of the above will be in the shops on Tuesday. Then within two weeks the exact same in DNA Bug, Tutti-S2, CherryCola-S2, Curry-S2, Cinnamon-S2, Curry-GPB2, Chocolate-S2, Hutchie-S2, RedBerryVanilla-S2, Banoffee-S2, TC1, TC2 Bottom bait barrels etc. Going forwards we will do our very best to keep the shops stocked with everything.

I’ve been losing an incredible sum of money every single day that the website has been down & the shops have had no stock at the busiest time of year. Whilst at the same time spending out fortunes to get a second base for us and new storage facilities up and running. No one wants that resolved quicker than me I promise you. When you are not following on from any tried and tested practices for the products that you produce, upscaling to a big extent is really hard work. I used to make the hook baits using metal trays & constant heat from a radiator all year around in the distant past. Now we use 2000w electric driers from China meant for commercial dry cleaners. They are superb, but they were tripping the electricity constantly until things were resolved. They cost an absolute stupid fortune to run. The prices of the hook baits are not going up for now, but they are all being levelled across the board. The OG S2 & GPB1/2 will cost the same as the Fizz-S2 for example from now on.

WhatsApp is the way to get hold of us if you are desperate for anything, we can pass our PayPal addy. So many people have been resolved that way. The shops will have so much stock on Tuesday, an incredible amount of our most popular stuff.

The hook baits have always got better with age.... Although us, or now the shops never been able to have it longer than it takes to roll the next lot! Our stock is always either fresh as a daisey, or sold out. One or the other.

Sorry again for anyone who has been waiting.

You ok hun?

Was replying to the comment about prices having to go up. They already did a while back.
Not sure Mark relies on selling bait for his Ferraris anyway. The bookies pay for them.

I'm sure Mark knows how to run his business. If you think Ferraris are overpriced, don't buy one.

Mark put the prices up on his website to allow for a margin for the tackle shops a while ago - he can only buy a new ferrari every two years now he's selling "trade".

You may be better to actually spend some time and read the dedicated thread.

There is clear reasoning behind it and its been well thought out.

How bizarre? You are going to change your supplier because they are in tackle shops now and not on the website, even though they are the same baits and same price? Very strange thought process

Pretty sure I saw the price of them actually lower than SHB website in some of the shops for some of the hookbaits.

For one thing, SHB's are designed to be able to be stored for a while, and for another, I'd be surprised if there on the shelf for more than a week in any of the shops ...

You won't find these baits on the shelfs with all the others. These are definitely an under counter special. A quick Nod and a shifty look. Is all that is needed The guy behind the jump will quickly stick what you desire in a brown paper bag. You'll soon be on your way and no one will be none the wiser...

tackle shops mainly sell commercial baits nothing special, its rare to find a good bait in a tackle shop, and if you do you wonder how long its been sat there, specialized hookbaits are a good hookbait and have a cult following i dont see what benefit selling in the tackle shops would bring especially putting the baits in same shelf as the commercial baits like mainline and ccmore etc, and surly there would be a price increase to give the tackle shop a cut of the profit , most carp anglers look for an edge when fishing and these baits felt special, but when they go commercial in the shops will they really be that special for the money when every man and his dog are using them, just just my opinion thats all and hope it works out well for them

I see you've edited your post while making mine..

These baits seem to sell out pretty sharpish when supplied to shops. And according to Mark. They seem to get better with age.. So no need to worry about old stock.

Apart from the obvious. What's the difference between buying from a shop or online. The magic is still there..

thats a shame ,they will be just another tackle shop shelf bait , selling in tackle shops takes away the magic and just another bait sitting on a shelf going stale, time to find another company that rolls fresh to order

He said there is stock arriving at Fish on tackle,The Tackle box and Johnson Ross anytime soon, they're not using the website at the moment. If you have a look at the dedicated Specialized hookbait thread above, I'm sure Mark explains the situation.
