I?ve lived in France and been driving on extended trips since 1984. I?ve never used them and I?ve been pinched for speeding multiple times inc at night and never been mentioned. Although my last couple of cars allow you to adjust the headlights for driving on the right and I do do this.

In reply to Post #1 I don't use them but I'm only driving in daylight hours.

In reply to Post #4 I've never had any trouble with the glue tbh, just roll my finger over it and it bobbles off like gum. Guess it's a brand thing, don't blame you.

In reply to Post #3 I hate the mess they leave! I only drive during daylight hours as well. Might risk it this trip.

In reply to Post #1 I've always used them as I don't want any reason to be stopped and we used to drive through the night.
A quick Google search says you can be fined by the gendarmes if not using them.
Loads of people don't bother from what I've seen on my travels.

I don’t use them but then my car automatically knows when I driving on the right and adjusts accordingly

Hate the things. Who uses them and who doesnt? Thought they were only needed in dark conditions.
