I was thinking this in winter just gone as the sp Tec sleep system is cold my thoughts was the fox/nash electric blanket or a fleece throw and lay ontop of that, mk3 improvements to be had

I must admit I don't normally use a sleeping bag unless its really cold, far prefer duvets, one to sleep on, and one over the top. Far less restrictive, can stick your legs out both sides and no cold zips. I'm the worst for wriggling about, sheets were no good as they move with you, duvets dont tend to with a cover on...the cover may move a bit but that's it.

I am using a cotton fitted sheet atm it doesn't fit brilliantly but it so comfortable.

Yes its a sleep system - but the Solar SP Ctech so you can remove the bag completely.
I then put the sheet onto the bed and then just take a small duvet or duvet casing as a top cover. Luckily the Mrs now works at a bedding wholesalers so i have a good supply.
Also use a fitted bed sheet and sew on the elasticated straps about a foot in from the top and bottom - it moves a bit because im a side sleeper but does the job.

Good idea.
Forgot about the strain when its being sat on or slept in.
Assuming then, using the sheet you've had made, is that you don't use the zipped in sleeping bag (if it's a sleep system you have).

Had my mrs make me a sheet like that a few years ago, I just use a bedchair cover over it and leave the bag at home.

So i have a SPC-Tec Bed and in summer the nylon bag is horrible to sleep in. So i use a bed sheet and a duvet through summer instead now.
My wife is a trained seamstress (no longer works as one) and i asked her this a few years ago... the problem you have is the cotton on a bed sheet will be too thin and will put all the strain on the stitching on the zip when you move in your bed.
What she ended up doing for me was altering a single bedsheet to fit my bed and also added a elastic strap at both ends to hold it in place. Works a treat for me. and will most likely be back in use in the next month or so as i was hot in the sleeping bag last week.

The solar SP C tech beds have a zip in nylon under sheet, no idea if you can buy it separately or retro fit, though.

I've not heard of any but it's a great idea, much easier sticking a couple of sheets in the wash than the sleeping bag or parts of it..

Does anyone know if a zip in sheet exists for a sleep system?
Obviously it would need two zips. One to zip on to the system and then another to have the sleeping bag part zipped on to it.
If not, any other ideas?
