In reply to Post #17 Rocky bottom maybe 😀 T'is a bit weird LRF has crossed over to Perch. Given the popularity of the method last decade or l, so you'd have thought someone like Fox would've re branded it as something 'distinct' 🙄
Wierd little pond, owner doesn't allow fishing and it has loads of little fish and Perch in it....and where there's small Perch....but no one has ever caught anything bigger than a few oz. I said to her given all the small fish I wouldn't take a lure. Some Bream to 8lb though and some little Tench, just nice to be out. Spent about 3 10 mimute spells fishing and more than that picking cherries off the trees and eating them in the shade...was lovely 😎

In reply to Post #16 LRF? Can't see any rocks 😉 LWF maybe?
Just nice to be out though, I keep meaning to do some coarse fishing on the river since it opened but I find it hard sitting out in this hot weather.

A bit of LRF at a small Lincs pond last week, stock unknown, weed horrendous, no fish, glorious weather though.

The local drain, just no point, too low, at least 6' down and weedy.

In reply to Post #9 Superb Photo... I started my angling adventure on a wicker box like that. Can still feel the cuts in my legs i used to get when wearing shorts as a kid.

In reply to Post #10 I know exactly what you mean about the smell.
I can't do the glorious 16th this year as I am in France, but as soon as I am back I'll be doing at least 2 nights a week at the rivers, nobody else there.
The tackle in the photo is probably older than me, I like it

I bet there’s some Crucion’s under those pads!
I love the rivers, especially when it’s all over grown around you, and the smell, fishing!

I like this thread as I do more of this kind of thing.
This morning's view. 25 Tench between 4 and 5lb was the result of an 8 hour session.

Hopefully pics work as first time trying.
