And the prospect of a bit of cash can sometimes do the trick as well. With a lot of fisheries adopting these god awful swim booking apps. Cash like in life is becoming a thing of the past. Cash is king...

I've done this at Whelford pools, just explained the session I was fishing and they were happy to charge less.

Many do, I think a good old fashioned phone call with a description of circumstances usually does the trick if the website does not stipulate.

Many moons ago when I fell out with my ex, I did a few 8pm til 6am sessions on the stipulation that I was waiting for that barrier to open in the morning.

If you get to know the owner fishing day tickets they'll sometimes offer what you want once they know you
Some even start a night syndi for just that reason.

Just an idea that came to me recently

With day ticket prices being £25+ for 24 hours these days, and many anglers like myself typically fishing overnighters between work during the week, why don't day ticket lakes offer an 'over night' price eg 6 till 6 or 7 till 7 when the lakes are quieter during the week. Would make a lot of sense and I'd be much more likely to fish some different waters if that was the case.
