Over the past few years I've been using a prebait of small fishmeal pellets liberally coated in csl, and then dusted with brocacel yeast for close in work. It seems to draw fish into the swim very quickly and keeps them grubbing around. You have to press this mix firmly together in your hands before you put it in but once in the water it creates a lovely cloud of attraction. Don't know what the correlation is between these three ingredients but it works very well.
